X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy (X-ALD) and pseudo neonatal adrenoleukodystrophy (P-NALD) are neurodegenerative demyelinating diseases resulting from the functional loss of the peroxisomal ATP-binding cassette transporter D (ABCD1) and from single peroxisomal enzyme deficiency (Acyl-CoA oxidase1: ACOX1), respectively. The Australian Sheep-Goat Scale (ASGS) is a commonly used measure of belief in the paranormal. The scale contains items that index extrasensory perception (ESP), psychokinesis (PK), and life after death (LAD). Although, research employs the ASGS as both a general (unidimensional) and factorial (multidimensional) measure, few studies have examined the appropriateness of these solutions. Kehittymistä analysoidaan tarkkuuden näkökulmasta, ja sitä mitataan kohdekielen muoto- ja käyttökonventioista poikkeavien muotojen määrällä. En este Trabajo Final de Máster se analizan 20 unidades fraseológicas extraídas de un corpus realizado a partir de la lectura de la correspondencia entre Gregorio Mayans, Manuel Martínez Pingarrón y Francisco Pérez Bayer. Lo destacable del trabajo es el estudio individual de las locuciones que se han encontrado en estas cartas del siglo XVIII y el objetivo es observar qué tipo de locuciones se usaban más en esa época, en qué tipo de correspondencia o contexto aparecen esas locuciones y determinar si son locuciones que responden más a registros formales o coloquiales. Thermoelectric Radiation Detector Based on Superconductor-Ferromagnet Systems

We suggest an ultrasensitive detector of electromagnetic fields exploiting the giant thermoelectric effect recently found in superconductor-ferromagnet hybrid structures. Compared with other types of superconducting detectors where the detected signal is based on variations of the detector impedance, the thermoelectric detector has the advantage of requiring no external driving fields. This is especially relevant in multipixel detectors, where the number of bias lines and the heating induced by them are an issue.
