Tutkimus tarkastelee, miten maahanmuuttajan toimijuus rakentuu ravintola-alan työssä ja millaisia kielenoppimisen mahdollisuuksia ravintola-ala tarjoaa. Tutkimus on laadullinen tapaustutkimus, joka on toteutettu etnografisella tutkimusotteella. Tutkimusaineistona on kahden ravintola-alalla työskennelleen maahanmuuttajan haastattelut, heidän suomenkielisten työtovereidensa ryhmäkeskustelu sekä autenttinen työpuheäänitte. Tutkimusmenetelminä käytettiin sisällönanalyysia ja diskurssianalyysia. Lisäksi ravintolan keittiössä nauhoitettua tallennetta analysoitiin vuorovaikutuslingvistiikasta vaikutteita ottaen. Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin ravintola-, kahvila- ja juhlapalveluja tarjoavan organisaation työhyvinvoinnin tilannetta syksyllä 2014. Tavoitteena oli kartoittaa kohdeorganisaation työhyvinvoinnin nykytilanne, ja tehdä seurantaa vuoden 2012 tuloksiin verraten, sekä esittää kehittämistoimenpiteitä työhyvinvoinnin edistämiseksi. Case tutkimuksen aineisto kerättiin vuonna 2012 tehdyn kyselylomakkeen avulla, joka muokattiin vastaamaan nykytilannetta. Aineisto analysoitiin summamuuttujien avulla, joita muodostettiin yhdeksän kappaletta. The trophic ecology of piscivorous Arctic charr (Salvelinus alpinus (L.); charr) in the food webs of large subarctic lakes is not well understood. We assessed charr diets, parasites, growth, maturity, and stable isotope ratios in Fennoscandian subarctic lakes dominated by monomorphic or polymorphic whitefish (Coregonus lavaretus (L.)) populations. Charr density was low in all lakes, except in profundal habitats. Charr shifted to piscivory at small size (16–25 cm total length) and consumed a range of prey-fish sizes (2–25 cm).
