The context for the study is an EU-funded intensive programme drawing on different dimensions of insideness and outsideness and artsbased pedagogies in response to the diversity of education today. This conceptual article deals with components and concepts of transformative learning, emphasizing the organization-level perspective on critical reflection. The discussion leans on the concept of transformative authorship and it is argued that it enables authoring processes through which professionals can recognize and recreate their routinized work practices. Supporting student teachers’ reflection through assessment : The case of reflective podcasts

Reflection is a key learning objective of teacher education, yet little is known about the ways in which it could be supported through assessment. In this case study (N = 14), we examine the potential of a novel assessment task—reflective podcasting—in supporting first-year student teachers’ reflection. We analyzed student group podcasts and corresponding student reflections and found that the task engendered reflection. Three theory-driven dimensions were constructed to emphasize the unique nature of podcasts for student reflection: experientiality, authenticity, and communality. Tässä artikkelissa pohdin etnografiaa ja etnologista kenttätyötä suhteessa toiseen, täysin erilaiseen kokemukseeni kentällä olemisesta. Artikkelin pohjana on henkilökohtainen kokemukseni kolmelta hoitotyön jaksolta sairaalaympäristöissä, joissa työskentelin tutkimusrahoituskausien välissä. Olen opiskellut sairaanhoitoa siitä koskaan kuitenkaan valmistumatta. Aloitin sairaanhoidon opinnot ja lähihoitajan työjaksoni akateemisen tutkimuksen ohessa, kun rahoituskaudet olivat tauolla. Tämä tutkimus on osa Jyväskylän yliopiston Psykoterapian Opetus- ja tutkimusklinikalla toteutettavaa Relationaalinen Mieli -tutkimushanketta. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin pariterapian reflektiivisten keskustelujen vuorovaikutusta ja erityisiä hetkiä. Tarkastelussa hyödynnettiin terapiaistuntojen nauhoitteiden lisäksi asiakkaiden ja terapeuttien autonomisen hermoston vasteista ja synkroniasta saatavaa tietoa sekä jälkihaastatteluaineistoa.
