Mathematics Competence Level: The Contribution of Non-symbolic and Spatial Magnitude Comparison Skills.

Magnitude comparison skills have been related to mathematics competence, although results in this area vary. The current study aimed to describe the performance of 75 children (aged 4-5 years) in two comparison tasks; and examine the strength of the relationship between each of the two tasks and mathematics competence level (MCL). Participants were assessed with the Early Numeracy Test which provides a global MCL score. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot dažādu vecuma grupu īpatsvara pārmaiņu ietekmi uz ekonomikas augsmi un to ietekmējošajiem kanāliem. Pētījumā ir veikta paneļa datu regresijas analīze pasaules valstu, augstu ienākumu un zemu, vidēji zemu ienākumu valstu grupām laika periodā no 1990.– 2015.gadam. Demogrāfiskās struktūras pārmaiņas ietekmē augsmi tieši ar produktivitātes kanālu, un nav novērojama nozīmīga ietekme uz kapitālu un cilvēkkapitālu. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir uzsvērt ES un ASV tirdzniecības dinamiku un paredzēt tās gaidāmos scenārijus. Metodoloģija ietver teorētisko un empīrisko analīzi. Pārbaudot tirdzniecības ietekmējošos faktorus, tiek sadalītas OLS regresijas no tirdzniecības smaguma modeļa, lai pārbaudītu šādus piecus mainīgos: TTIP sarunu process, IKP uz vienu iedzīvotāju, kopējā zemes platība, FDI un kopīgā valoda. Kopējais novērojums ir 308, aptverot ES-28 un ASV laikposmā no 2009. līdz 2019. gadam. From 2001 Italian university system has adopted the credits to mea- sure the workload of the students. The weighted mean of marks with credits as weights is used to measure the their performance. In our opinion it does not seem a proper way to measure. We suggest to adopt the median of the weighted marks, because we are considering an ordinale variable, with a non-normal empir- ical distribution, and a®ected by outliers. Then, instead of using an OLS multiple regression, we investigate the determinants of the performance measured by the median using a regression quantile for ordinal response. Non-crossing quantile regression via monotone B-spline varying coefficients

Quantile regression can be used to obtain a nonparametric estimate of a conditional quantile function. The presence of quantile crossing, however, leads to an invalid distribution of the response and makes it dicult to use the tted model for prediction. In this work, we show that crossing can be alleviated or completely eliminated by explicit modeling of the regression coecients as a function of the percentile values in (0,1). We illustrate the approach via a wellknown dataset by emphasizing dierences with respect to the competitors.
