DgCox: a differential geometric approach for high-dimensional Cox proportional hazard models

Many clinical and epidemiological studies rely on survival modelling to detect clinically relevant factors that affect various event histories. With the introduction of high-throughput technologies in the clinical and even large-scale epidemiological studies, the need for inference tools that are able to deal with fat data-structures, i.e., relatively small number of observations compared to the number of features, is becoming more prominent. This paper will introduce a principled sparse inference methodology for proportional hazards modelling, based on differential geometrical analyses of the high-dimensional likelihood surface.

This paper presents the application of this new tool of data processing in the study of the problem that arises when a renal transplant is indicated for a paediatric patient. Its aim is the development and validation of a neural network based model which can predict the success of the transplant over the short, medium and long term, using pre-operative characteristics of the patient (recipient) and implant organ (donor). When compared to results of logistic regression, the results of the proposed model showed better performance. Understanding unethical behaviors at the university level: a multiple regression analysis

Unethical behaviors such as corruption pose an important challenge for students, professors, and other university members. We aimed to clarify students' willingness to engage in corruption in a Spanish public university. In all, 3,475 undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students completed an online questionnaire assessing four corruption scenarios: favoritism, bribery, fraud, and embezzlement. Multiple regression analysis suggested that justifiability, risk perception, and perceived corruption played a key role in explaining corrupt intention. This study examines the psychometric properties of the Working Alliance Inventory-Short (WAI-S) adaptation to Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) therapies (WAI-VAR). The aim of the study was to examine the impact of a self-determined motivational climate including support of autonomy, relatedness, task involvement, and ego-involving climate on students’ affective responses and effort in physical education.
