BENEFICIOS RELACIONALES, SATISFACCIÓN Y LEALTAD EN EL COMERCIO MINORISTA: UNA COMPARATIVA INTERSECTORIAL / RELATIONSHIP BENEFITS, SATISFACTION, AND L…
2009

Article also available from publisher: http://dx.doi.org/10.1109/WCSP.2009.5371438 In this paper, we derive a non-stationary multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) channel model from the geometrical T-junction model. The propagation environment is assumed to be extremely non-isotropic. The proposed channel model takes into account double…
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CITIZENS’ TRUST IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND PARTICIPATION IN LOCAL GOVERNANCE
2021
The article analyses the relationship between citizens’ trust in local government institutions and participation in local governance. The research results have revealed that citizens’ trust in local government is still low and participation lacks activeness. Civic participation is more active than political participation. According to the research results, the main reasons of absence of participation in local governance are lack of information and knowledge about public participation, lack of information about participation opportunities, lack of communication and response to expressed opinion and suggestions. The results of quantitative research showed that participation and trust dimensio…
Activation of TRPC6 calcium channels by diacylglycerol (DAG)-containing arachidonic acid: A comparative study with DAG-containing docosahexaenoic acid
2006
We synthesized a diacylglycerol (DAG)-containing arachidonic acid, i.e., 1-stearoyl-2-arachidonyl-sn-glycerol (SAG), and studied its implication in the modulation of canonical transient receptor potential sub-type 6 (TRPC6) channels in stably-transfected HEK-293 cells. SAG induced the influx of Ca(2+), and also of other bivalent cations like Ba(2+) and Sr(2+), in these cells. SAG-evoked Ca(2+) influx was not due to its metabolites as inhibitors of DAG-lipase (RHC80267) and DAG-kinase (R50922) failed to inhibit the response of the same. To emphasise that SAG exerts its action via its DAG configuration, but not due to the presence of stearic acid at sn-1 position, we synthesized 1-palmitoyl-2…

Application of the Wood model to lactation curves of Comisana sheep
1997
Abstract Ninety-two ewes of the Comisana breed were used in a study to verify the forecasting capacity of the mathematical model proposed by Wood for fitting sheep data, and to evaluate the effect of the environmental factors affecting the parameters of the lactation curve. The Wood model underestimated the total lactation milk production with an error margin of 12.2 ± 7.8 kg of milk corresponding to 10.9 ± 6.6%. There was a strong influence of order of lambing × lambing season interaction on the lactation parameters. The curves for the winter lambing ewes demonstrated a higher peak production than autumn lambing ewes (1728.4 vs. 1082.6 g, P ≤ 0.05 for the second lambing ewes and 1772.8 vs.…
Effects of acute social stress on the conditioned place preference induced by MDMA in adolescent and adult mice
2014
Exposure to social defeat stress increases the rewarding effects of psychostimulants in animal models, but its effect on 3,4-methylenedioxymethylamphetamine (MDMA) reward has received little attention. In the present study, we evaluated the influence of social defeat on the rewarding effects of MDMA in adolescent [postnatal day (PND) 29-40] and adult (PND 50-61) male mice using the conditioned place preference paradigm. Experimental mice were exposed to social defeat in an agonistic encounter before each session of conditioning with 1.25 or 10 mg/kg of MDMA. The effects of social defeat on corticosterone levels and the motor or the anxiogenic effects of MDMA were also evaluated. Mice expose…

Treating breakthrough pain in oncology
2018
Breakthrough cancer pain (BTcP) is an episode of severe intensity in patients receiving an adequate treatment with opioids able to provide at least mild analgesia. BTcP is a heterogeneous condition as episodes vary between individuals. The aim of this article is to review the pharmacologic options for the management of BTcP. Areas covered: Recent reviews revealed that transmucosal preparations of fentanyl provided superior and more rapid pain relief as compared to placebo and oral morphine within the first 30 min after dosing. Few comparison studies among fentanyl products have been performed. Although dose titration has been recommended for years, a meaningful dosing, according to the leve…
Role of NK1 and NK2 receptors in mouse gastric mechanical activity
2006
1. The aim of the present study was to examine the role of NK1 and NK2 receptors in the control of mechanical activity of mouse stomach. In this view, the motor effects induced by NK1 and NK2 receptor agonists and antagonists were analyzed, measuring motility as intraluminal pressure changes in mouse-isolated stomach preparations. In parallel, immunohistochemical studies were performed to identify the location of NK1 and NK2 receptors on myenteric neurons and smooth muscle cells. 2. Substance P (SP) induced biphasic effects: a contraction followed by relaxation; neurokinin A (NKA) and [beta-Ala8]-NKA(4-10), selective agonist of NK2 receptors, evoked concentration-dependent contractions, whe…
