The article deals with the question, whether nonlinear analysis of the sleep EEG may give clues to understanding of disturbed information processing in psychiatric diseases. We point out how the nonlinear approach to EEG dynamics is motivated and review recent investigations concerning nonlinear dynamical properties of physiological systems. We present calculations of the correlation dimension D2 and the principal Lyapunov-exponent lambda 1 for sleep EEG data from 9 depressive and 11 schizophrenic inpatients compared to healthy controls. This article reports on the added value of embodied responses identified through sympathetic nervous system (SNS) activity in couple therapy research. It focuses on moments of change and the timing of therapeutic interventions or therapeutic moves in a couple therapy session. The data for this single-case study comprise couple therapy process videotapes recorded in a multi-camera setting, and measurements of participants' SNS activity. California Psychotherapy Alliance Scale-Group (CALPAS-G) data were collected from 1,138 group sessions attended by 248 group members in 16 counseling groups. Hierarchical linear modeling (HLM) was used to derive between-groups, between-member, and between-session variance components and intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs) for the 12 CALPAS-G items. Abstract The relationship between work rate (WR) and its tolerable duration (tLIM) has not been investigated at high altitude (HA). The effects of twice daily inhaled beclomethasone dipropionate (BDP) at two dose levels (500 and 1,000 micrograms daily) on the airway responsiveness to inhaled histamine was evaluated by a randomized, single-blind, cross-over study in 10 patients with stable asthma. The 12-week study began with a 3-week run-in period of baseline treatment, which was continued unchanged throughout the study, and the two treatment periods were separated by a 3-week placebo period.
