El maestro de obras reales en el Reino de Valencia se ocupó de la supervisión de los trabajos en los bienes inmuebles del patrimonio regio, que incluía arquitectura e ingeniería civil, militar e hidráulica. Presentamos el informe enviado por el virrey en 1622 sobre los tres candidatos al cargo: Antonio Picó, Jerónimo Negret y Francisco Arboreda (o Arboleda). Talvolta esse sono utilizzate strumentalmente per attribuire legittimità e consenso alle scelte dell’organizzazione o prestigio all’autorità dei capi; talaltra, nascondono inquietudini e momenti di crisi che insorgono nella vita dei singoli; in altri casi, il ricorso ad una comune tradizione religiosa fa da sostrato alla coesione del gruppo, costituendo la trama della memoria condivisa. Pur con le debite differenze, la religione si profila come una componente importante per tutte le organizzazioni mafiose.

Aitmatov introduced a biblical motif into his novel – he chose Christ examination by Pilate. The writer extended the meaning of the scene, he altered its essence and “genre,” changing it into philosophical disputation. He also invented the story of Christ sailing with his mother on the Nile and their miraculous rescue by a crocodile. These scenes are presented in such a way that they remind the myth of the birth and death of Christ which allows rating Aitmatov's figure of Christ to the fifth category of literary embodiment of Christ proposed by T. Ziołkowski and called CHRIST AS A MYTH. A figure of Christ in the novel is a symbol of the highest perfection of humanity.
