The paper suggests the advent of a new type of character in a popular genre of American high school films, namely a precocious and sexually assertive young woman. Such characters are usually highly intelligent and manipulative women who seduce unsuspecting male partners, often their teachers, for emotional or practical gain. Although their actions may appear morally wrong, they are of ten depicted in a positive light. The analysis is based on a selection of films considered to be symptomatic of the larger tendencies. This study deals with professional representations. The goal is to show the representation of hygiene by health care workers: Nurses (N) and Health Care Aides (HCA). Method follows the BSC (Bases Cognitive Schemes) procedure, explicative interviews substitute to the evaluation task. An analysis of associative words points out that for HCA hygiene is associated with acts linked with corporal hygiene and with two synonymous: no trace, no germ Discussion underlines the interest of this method for professional representations studies and nosocomial infections strength.

The current study deals with the representation of hospital hygiene. The purpose is twofold: 1- to understand how knowledge about hygiene is acquired by nursing staff during their training (effect of the level of knowledge); 2- to identify how this knowledge evolves while practising a job in direct connection with hygiene (effect of practice). Three groups of participants were questioned: nursing staff (nursing executives, nurses and nursing auxiliaries), students training in nursing care (first, second and third year students) and non-specialist students. This paper explain the existence of a particular formal model (drew from Theoretical Astrophysics) whose thermodynamical phenomenology shows a possible second order phase transition (according to Landau’s Thermodynamical Theory) that seems does not verify the (Birman-Goldrich-Jaric) ”chain subduction criterion” and the (Ascher’s) ”maximality criterion” of Landau’s Phenomenological Theory. Therefore, it follows that Landau’s Phenomenological Theory is more restrictive than the Landau’s Thermodynamical Theory.
