A survey on algebraic dilatations

In this text, we wish to provide the reader with a short guide to recent works on the theory of dilatations in Commutative Algebra and Algebraic Geometry. These works fall naturally into two categories: one emphasises foundational and theoretical aspects and the other applications to existing theories.
Evolution of nurses' social representation of hospital hygiene: From training to practice

Nurses' social representations of hospital hygiene were analyzed. A cross-sectional method was used to compare and analyze the social representations of the concept domain of "hospital hygiene" across three independent groups of participants (N=744). The groups included: (a) professional nurses (N=114); (b) student nurses (N=315); and (c) psychology students (N=315). Comparisons were drawn: (a) between professionals and students; and (b) between student nurse cohorts at three different levels (years) of training. Au sein du vaste champ de recherche qu’est l’alimentation, les légumes et les représentations qu'en ont les mangeurs ont été délaissés malgré la place importante qu'ils occupent dans les discours officiels depuis la mise en place en 2001 du PNNS. Dans un contexte de stagnation de leur consommation, il semble judicieux de tenter de comprendre quels en sont les freins. Notre hypothèse veut que les discours médiatiques sur le sujet, dans la lignée du discours des autorités publiques, présentent les légumes avant tout comme un aliment fonctionnel, dans un pays où le goût et le plaisir restent pourtant des piliers de la culture alimentaire. Tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvittää, minkälaisia representaatioita saamelaisista rakennetaan norjalaisessa sekä suomalaisessa matkailumarkkinoinnissa englanniksi. Aineistona oli yksi kunkin maan virallisen matkailumarkkinointiportaalin (VisitFinland ja VisitNorway)saamelaisaiheinen alasivu. Relations between representational consistency, conceptual understanding of the force concept, and scientific reasoning

Previous physics education research has raised the question of “hidden variables” behind students’ success in learning certain concepts. In the context of the force concept, it has been suggested that students’ reasoning ability is one such variable. Strong positive correlations between students’ preinstruction scores for reasoning ability (measured by Lawson’s Classroom Test of Scientific Reasoning) and their learning of forces [measured by the Force Concept Inventory (FCI)] have been reported in high school and university introductory courses.
