Spatial localization of hotspots in Fano-resonant plasmonic oligomers for surface-enhanced coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering
2020
AbstractRealization of Fano resonance in plasmonic oligomers is often exploited to design efficient plasmonic substrates for surface-enhanced coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering. Disk-type Fano-resonant plasmonic oligomers are widely used to enhance the Raman signal of the probe material. Generally, hot spots are generated in those oligomers at different spatial locations at different wavelengths and only a few spatially overlapping hot spots at multiple wavelengths can be achieved with oblique incidence of excitation light. In this work, we proposed hexagonal gold nanoparticle based Fano-resonant plasmonic oligomers that can yield higher number of spatially overlapped hot spots compared …
Enhancing improvisational music therapy through the addition of resonance frequency breathing : Common findings of three single-case experimental stu…
2018
One core characteristic of active music therapy is the facilitation of emotional expression through the creation of music improvisations. In an attempt to further develop this approach, we created an enhanced form of integrative improvisational music therapy by including 10 minutes of resonance frequency breathing (RFB) at the beginning of the sessions. RFB is a type of slowbreathing known for its ability to reduce stress and support emotional regulation. This paper summarizes the common findings of three single-case experimental studies and introduces a provisional model to explain the observed effects of RFB. During the breathing itself, all three clients (two of them healthy and one diag…

Structure-based evaluation of the resonance interactions and effectiveness of the charge transfer in nitroamines
2011
Structural data for five nitroamines of general formula Me₂N–G–NO₂ show effectiveness of the ground-state charge transfer to be most and least efficient in N,N-dimethylnitramine and in 4-N,N-dimethylamino-β-nitrostyrene, respectively. Electron-donor power of the amino nitrogen atom in the latter compound is less than that in 4-nitro-β-N,N-dimethylaminostyrene (these two compounds are isomers). Natural population analysis shows that the charge transfer from the amino to the nitro oxygen atoms is most effective in N,N-dimethylnitramine, Me₂N–NO₂. The nitro oxygen atoms are not the only acceptors of the negative charge lost by the amino nitrogen atom. The nitro group in two substituted nitrobe…
