Purpose– The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between altruistic leader behaviors, organizational learning capability and organizational performance.Design/methodology/approach– The sampling frame consists of several databases or listings of business that consider people as a key element of the organization and are considered by their employees to be good firms to work for or organizational environments where human resources management has high priority (n=251). Employability and job insecurity: The role of personal resources on work-related stress

This study is aimed to assess the effect of both employability and personal resources, in terms of pro-activity and self-efficacy, on the relationship between job insecurity and psycho-social distress. Using survey data from 211 participants, among employed, unemployed and workers in transition, we analyzed the incidence of employability, pro-activity and self-efficacy on psycho-social distress. Our results showed that the above-mentioned variables significantly differed by participants’ gender and age. Liquid packaging board (LPB) collected in Germany is processed in Finland as recycled fibre and as plastic reject for incineration. The chemical, biological and physical changes occurring in recycled LPB bales were monitored during storage of six and 18 months. The moisture content in the core of the bales ranged from 7% to 53%, and pH values varied from 6.0 to 8.5. The average amount of mesophilic bacteria per container was 1.5 x 10(7) - 5 x 10(8), which means that recycled LPB pulp cannot be recommended for sanitary use. Abstract The present study investigated the extent to which mothers' support for their children's sense of competence, autonomy and relatedness predicts their children's interest in math and reading, and also their mastery orientation, during the transition to primary school.
