Treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) by continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) usually causes a reduction in blood pressure (BP), but several factors may interfere with its effects. Revisiting mu suppression in autism spectrum disorder

Two aspects of the EEG literature lead us to revisit mu suppression in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). First and despite the fact that the mu rhythm can be functionally segregated in two discrete sub-bands, 8-10 Hz and 10-12/13 Hz, mu-suppression in ASD has been analyzed as a homogeneous phenomenon covering the 8-13 Hz frequency. Abstract To evaluate the subchronic effects of paroxetine, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, on nocturnal endocrinological profiles, eight healthy male volunteers with no personal or family history of a psychiatric or neurological disease were administered paroxetine (30 mg/day) or placebo in a double-blind cross-over design.
