Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common heart arrhythmia, the risk of which typically increases with age. This condition is commonly associated with major cardiovascular diseases and structural heart damage, while it is rarely observed in healthy young people. For multiobjective optimization problems with uncertain parameters in the objective functions, different variants of minmax robustness concepts have been defined in the literature. The idea of minmax robustness is to optimize in the worst case such that the solutions have the best objective function values even when the worst case happens. Interactive Inverse Modeling Based Multiobjective Evolutionary Algorithm

An interactive version of the inverse modeling based multiobjective evolutionary algorithm is presented. Instead of generating a representation of the whole Pareto optimal front, the algorithm aims at producing solutions in the regions where the decision maker is interested in. This is facilitated through an interactive solution process where the decision maker iteratively evaluates a set of solutions shown to her/him and the preference information obtained is used to adapt the search process of the algorithm. peerReviewed

Sirds slimības ir viena no izplatītākajām veselības problēmām, ar ko saskaras miljoniem iedzīvotāju visā pasaulē. Lai gan ārstēšanas metodes un tehnoloģiskās iespējas attīstās ik gadu, ārsti vēl arvien saskaras ar problēmām precīzi noteikt pacientu diagnozes. Elektrokardiogrāfija ir viena no pamata izmeklējuma metodēm sirdsdarbības traucējumu diagnostikā. Darba ietvaros tika pētīts elektrokardiogrammu apstrādes process, lai pēc iespējas precīzāk automatizēti noteiktu sirdsdarbības traucējumus. Par darba mērķi tika izvirzīts automatizēti noteikt un klasificēt sirds aritmijas tipus. Rezultātā tika izvērtēts efektīvākais veids, kā klasificēt aritmijas un apstrādāt datus.

One of the most popular state-space reduction techniques for model checking is partial-order reduction (POR). Of the many different POR implementations, stubborn sets are a very versatile variant and have thus seen many different applications over the past 32 years. One of the early stubborn sets works shows how the basic conditions for reduction can be augmented to preserve stutter-trace equivalence, making stubborn sets suitable for model checking of linear-time properties. Darbā tiek aplūkota īpašību testēšanas paradigma un monotonitātes testēšana uz līnijas jeb funkcijas. Īpašību testēšanas paradigma ir saistīta ar apakš-lineāru algoritmu konstruēšanu, kas piekļūst tikai daļai no datiem. Balstoties uz šiem datiem, algoritms ar kādu varbūtību var noteikt, vai datiem piemīt īpašība. Pēc paradigmas principiem, algoritmam ir jāspēj noskaidrot, vai dotais datu apjoms ir monotons ātrāk, nekā lineārā laikā. Labākais iepriekšējais rezultāts monotonitātes pārbaudei funkcijai f:[n] --> [r] ir Theta(log(epsilon n)/epsilon) pie epsilon 1/2, tas ir funkcijām, kas ir ļoti tālu no monotonām.
