Resilience and the Aging Process: Assessment Tools and Needs

Abstract Successful resilience is a variable often related to an optimal aging process and that might have a role on education. However, literature is rather limited when dealing with assessment instruments for the elderly in the Spanish language. The objective of this work is to examine the Brief Resilient Coping Scale (Sinclair &Wallston, 2004), a four item likert scale, in the Spanish elderly. One of the main challenges faced by physical therapy (PT) students is to learn the practical skills involved in neurological physical therapy (PT). To help them to acquire these skills, a set of rubrics were designed for formative purposes. This paper presents the process followed in the creation of these rubrics and their application in the classroom, noting that students perceived them as valid, reliable, and highly useful for learning. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot, kādos gadījumos valsts uzņēmums var prasīt savu investīciju aizsardzību, konkrēti – netradicionāli ieņemt prasītāja statusu starptautiskos investīciju strīdos iepretim citai valstij. Mērķa sasniegšanai aplūkots investora jēdziens starptautiskajos investīciju aizsardzības līgumos, kā arī valsts un valsts uzņēmuma nošķīrums investīciju šķīrējtiesu praksē. Pētnieciskajā darbā identificēti galvenie izaicinājumi investīciju tiesību režīmam, pieļaujot valsts uzņēmumam prasītāja lomu investīciju strīdos, kā arī piedāvāti to risinājumi.

Dysregulated Motherhood: Exploring the Risk Features in a Mother’s Caregiving Representations

In the case of a mother with dysregulating attachment experiences and current enrolment in a parent-infant psychotherapy process, we explored which insecure, hostile/helpless, and prementalizing risk features were similar in her attachment and caregiving representations; which risk features were specific to her caregiving representations; and how these theory-defined features overlapped in detecting caregiving risks. National audience; Nous avons récemment proposé (1, 2) deux modèles thermodynamiques pour les équilibres divariants entre la vapeur d'eau et les hydrates salins solides. Le premier postule l'existence d'une solution solide d'insertion d'eau dans le sel, le second postule l'existence d'une solution solide de substitution entre deux hydrates du sel. Le but de ce travail est d'établir un nouveau critère permettant de distinguer les deux modèles à partir de l'expérience et de délimiter le domaine divariant dans chacun des deux cas.
