El papel de la "Demopedia" en la democracia participativa || The Role of “Demopedia” in Participatory Democracy

2015

ABSTRACT. Participatory democracy is an idea opposed to hegemony because it does not accept Capitalism superiority over democracy, as it happens in representative…

Denegare iudicium e denegare actionem

2015

The expressions denegare iudicium and denegare actionem are both used to point out the refusal on the part of the magistratus cum iurisdictione to grant the action. However, in the opinion of the author, these expressions have different meanings. Denegare iudicium is used in contexts that are not compatible with the granting of a formula provided with exceptiones; while denegare actionem is used when the praetor was given the opportunity either to refuse the granting of the action or to give a formula provided with exceptiones.

Agere 'ex asse in solidum' e agere 'pro parte in solidum'. Per un'interpretazione di Venul. 7 stip. D. 10, 2, 7

2020

The paper proposes a revised analysis of D. 10.2.7 (Venul. 7 stip.), from which it seems reasonable to suggest that Venuleius discussed a particular kind of co-inheritance: the coniunctim attribution of a hereditas or an inheritance quota regarding two heirs. The substantially classical text, which can be glimpsed therein, offers evidence of the coexistence of different patterns of co-inheritance in classical private Roman law.

STEM CELLS FOR TREATMENT OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES: AN UMBRELLA REVIEW OF RANDOMIZED CONTROLLED TRIALS

2021

AIMS:\ud \ud Stem cells are a promising therapy for various medical conditions. The literature regarding their adoption for the clinical care of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) is still conflicting. Therefore, our aim is to assess the strength and credibility of the evidence on clinical outcomes and application of stem cells derived from systematic reviews and meta-analyses of intervention studies in CVD.\ud \ud METHODS and RESULTS:\ud \ud Umbrella review of systematic reviews with meta-analyses of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) using placebo/no intervention as control group. For meta-analyses of RCTs, outcomes with a random-effect p-value< 0.05, the GRADE (Grading of Recommendations Ass…

La «segretezza profonda» dei luoghi: Tetto Murato di Lalla Romano

2022

"Tetto Murato consisted of a group of houses, courtyards and vegetable gardens, all surrounded by a square wall. One entered through a half-collapsed arch into a maze of vegetable gardens invaded by chickens, walls and buildings''. This is how the place, around which the narrative warp of a novel was woven in 1957, takes shape in all its vivid physiognomy. The title Tetto Murato (Walled Roof) condenses its distinctive trait in the peculiar evocative concreteness of the image. The inventive dynamics of the narrative will be explored, emphasising how the space in which they unfold, the 'Roof', from the very incipit of the quoted passage, is profiled in all its protagonism. We will dwell on th…
