Muchos son los estudios que se han ocupado de la poesía deJosé de Espronceda en comparación con la de Lord Byron, como si lanecesidad de establecer una conexión con el romanticismo europeo fueranecesaria para legitimar su originalidad. En el presente trabajo no solollevamos a cabo un recuento de posibles fuentes bibliográficas de la figuradel pirata en el poema “Canción del pirata”, sino que realizamos unaprofunda comparativa de sus respectivas figuras poéticas, partiendo deotros textos coetáneos, como el de Lasso de la Vega, por ejemplo. Se trata,en definitiva, de un debate aún no cerrado del todo.

A principios del siglo XIX empieza a despuntar en la literatura alemana un interés por temas actuales («Zeitgeschehen»). E. T. A. Hoffmann y Joseph von Eichendorff, los dos autores más importantes del Romanticismo tardío, sitúan dos de sus relatos (de 1819 y 1834 respectivamente) en el escenario de la Guerra de la Independencia española (1808-1814). En el presente artículo se analizan comparativamente las líneas argumentales, el tratamiento de los personajes y la representación de la guerra en ambas obras. This article tackles what seems to be a revival of fragmentary fiction in English in the 21st century. It briefly traces the lineage of critical interest in the fragment from German Romanticism through Bertolt Brecht and Modernism to postmodern film studies, in an attempt to highlight not only the temporal, but also the spatial and visual dimension of discontinuity evinced by recent fragmentary fiction. In popular critical and readerly reception, the New York School of poetry was shaped mostly by what Marjorie Perloff calls the tradition of indeterminacy. This was started by Arthur Rimbaud and, a few decades later, developed by Dadaists and Surrealists. Therefore, the tradition of French modernism seems to have been vital for John Ashbery, Frank O’Hara, James Schuler, and Barbara Guest, and the poets themselves appeared to confirm this fact. A thorough exam-ination of his literary essays, short stories and novels hardly proves this opinion. Foix, les quals més aviat han de ser enteses en el context de la ironia romàntica tal com va ser concebuda per Friedrich Schlegel i més tard documentada en la investigació d’Ingrid Strohschneider-Kohrs. Es descriu el terme «reflexió» com l’autonegació de l’absolut per a després analitzar alguns poemes en prosa del poeta, en què tal classe d’ironia pot ser identificada. Readers of Wilfred Owen usually agree that the war poet’s early admiration for John Keats faded after he enlisted in the army; his poetry then turned against Keats’s. The opening paraphrase of Owen’s poem “Exposure” is thus often read as a rejection and a subversion of the Romantic poet’s “Ode to a Nightingale.” This essay will argue that Owen’s poem can be seen as a radical reversal of Keats’s ode. While “Exposure” is indeed more violent and political than “Ode to a Nightingale,” it does not depart from Keats’s conception of human suffering and of nature.
