Background: Parkinson's disease (PD) is one of the leading neurological disorders, affecting more than 6 million people worldwide. These patients present motor and non-motor symptoms, including oral pathology. The objective of this research is to determine the oral health of patients diagnosed with PD, in order to stablish a specific preventive oral health programme. This study investigates the persistence of gendered choice and use of media, particularly in Japanese domestic settings. It shows how women’s significant presence in the digital media environment does not necessarily translate into substantial changes in gendered power dynamics in choosing and using particular media for certain purposes at home. Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan journalistien tehtäväkäsitysten kautta, miten Pohjoismaiden ja Keski- ja Itä-Euroopan uusien demokratioiden journalistien roolikäsitykset nykyään eroavat toisistaan, sekä näkyvätkö länsimaisen journalismin ihanteet journalistien roolikäsityksissä. Analysoinnin apuna on käytetty Thomas Hanitzschin (2011) luomia roolimiljöitä. Teoreettisena viitekehyksenä toimivat journalistinen kulttuuri, journalistinen identiteetti, professionaalistuminen sekä journalistien roolikäsitykset. Tämä tutkielma analysoi englantilaisen satukirjailijan Beatrix Potterin satutuotannosta kahdeksan satua. Sadut kuluvat taidesatujen genreen ja niiden allegoria toimii niin, että niissä eläimet toimivat ihmisen naamioina. Satujen allegorian takaa löytyy satiiria, jonka keskeiset teemat ovat yhteiskunnallinen eriarvoisuus, erityisesti viktoriaaninen sääty-yhteiskunta, perheen ja äidin valta, sekä naisen roolit viktoriaanisessa yhteiskunnassa. Lisäksi satujen keskeisenä teemana on vapauden kaipuu.

In species with separate sexes, females and males often differ in their morphology, physiology and behaviour. Such sex-specific traits are functionally linked to variation in reproductive competition, mate choice and parental care, which have all been linked to sex roles. Drawing on the concept of micro-political resistance, this article presents an empirical analysis of how officers of the Finnish Defence Forces challenge, resist, and reinforce the collective military identities constructed within the prevailing organizational discourses. Traditionally, the debate on communication value and the contribution of communication professionals to organisational decision-making has been linked to diverging roles (managers, technicians). This chapter introduces an alternative view, based on an exploratory, qualitative study of communication professionals in Finland. It focuses on the diverse ways in which these professionals contribute to organisational decisionmaking.
