The limitation in the relations between people caused by the pandemic today pushes more and more travellers in search of experiences and interactions with the territories, especially those excluded from the current production processes and the dominant market logic. In this context, the tourism of the roots or return tourism is motivated by a need to rediscover their origins, discover them, or trace them in places related to the history of travellers or their families. We, therefore, describe the main dimensions of the relationship tourism model so that it can be applied to root tourism.

Search for photonic signatures of gauge-mediated supersymmetry in 8TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector

A search is presented for photonic signatures motivated by generalized models of gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking. This search makes use of 20.3 fb[superscript −1] of proton-proton collision data at √s = 8 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector at the LHC, and explores models dominated by both strong and electroweak production of supersymmetric partner states. Four experimental signatures incorporating an isolated photon and significant missing transverse momentum are explored. These signatures include events with an additional photon, lepton, b-quark jet, or jet activity not associated with any specific underlying quark flavor. Tutkielman tavoitteena on avata meikkaamisen kokemuksellisuutta ja toimijuutta sekä meikkaamisen motiiveja ja merkityksiä meikkaajien haastattelupuheen kautta. Haastatteluja käsittelen diskurssianalyysin keinoin. Meikkaamisen kannalta relevantteja aihepiirejä ovat esimerkiksi kosmetiikan historia, kauneusihanteet ja -normit, julkisen olemisen normit, pukeutuminen ja tyyli sekä luonnollisuusihanne. Näitä tarkastelen pääasiassa healthismin, eroottisen pääoman ja luonnollisuusideologian viitekehyksissä. Lisäksi painotan identiteettiä ja meikin roolia minuuden kehittämisessä ja tukemisessa. Nowadays, Sicilian growers moved fron traditional summer planting with cold-stored strawberry plants to winter planting using fresh plants. Fresh plants let di anticipate and expand the harvesting period from December to May and produce strawberries with better qualitative parameters. Fresh bare root plants are produced mainly in Spain and Poland but in the last years mountain's nurseries near yhe cultivation fields were set up in Sicily. Comparing micro-cutting and mini-cutting technique for the clonal propagation of Metrosideros excelsa

public gardens for its foliage and attractive red flowers. M. excelsa plants are commercially propagated by soft and semi-ripe cuttings. Therefore, new and more reliable propagation techniques derived both from conventional and advanced propagation methods should be considered to support Metrosideros nursery development. The mini-cutting and micro-cutting techniques were compared for the clonal propagation of M. excelsa. Ex vitro rooted micro-cuttings resulted superior to mini-cuttings in terms of rooting percentage, root number per cutting and root length by 23.5%, 42.5% and 2.4%, respectively.
