Pro gradu -tutkielmani lähtökohtana on kirjallisuudentutkimuksen perustavanlaatuisimpia kysymyksiä: mitä on runous ja mikä on kertomus? Kartoitan tutkielmassani kirjallisuudentutkimuksen parissa esitettyjä käsityksiä siitä, mikä tekee runoudesta runoutta ja mistä kertomus muodostuu. Keskiöön nousee varsinkin käsitys lyyrisyydestä tekstin ominaisuutena pikemminkin kuin lajia määrittävänä piirteenä. Painoarvoa saa erityisesti lyyrisen vertailu kerronnalliseen: mitkä ovat lyyrisen ja kerronnallisen erottavia ominaisuuksia ja miten ne toimivat tekstissä suhteessa toisiinsa. It aims to position the famous Hungarian poet of the early 20th century, Endre Ady, on the intellectual map of his age, and to point out his place within the relationships of literary modernity and intellectual-social progressivism; it describes the fixation, form and temporal change of the poet's unique position, and shows the human and intellectual consequences of this position, as it relates to a dispute which lasted for half a year, and only seemingly was of a literary nature. Modeling the probability distribution of peak discharge for infiltrating hillslopes

Hillslope response plays a fundamental role in the prediction of peak discharge at the basin outlet. The peak discharge for the critical duration of rainfall and its probability distribution are needed for designing urban infrastructure facilities. This study derives the probability distribution, denoted as GABS model, by coupling three models: (1) the Green-Ampt model for computing infiltration, (2) the kinematic wave model for computing discharge hydrograph from the hillslope, and (3) the intensity-duration-frequency (IDF) model for computing design rainfall intensity. Poesie di Chen Jingrong - Un piccolo omaggio

Chen Jingrong is a woman poet who has strongly influenced the poetry of the contemporary poet Duo Duo. Having lived from 1917 until 1989, her work spans through the whole XX century. The paper presents her work with a special attention on translation problems. It focuses on an analysis of her poetry on the basis of the “translation shift” described by Cosima Bruno. Differently from Bruno, the analysis is made not on two texts, A language and B language texts, but rather on three texts. In this case, the one in Chinese of the original version, the one in English, the language of the first translation, and the one in Italian, the language of the second translation by G. Tamburello.

The article discusses part of the archival legacy of Ludwig Gruno prince of Hesse-Homburg. Born in 1705, he was one of the youngest sons of Frederick III James, Landgrave of Hesse-Homburg, and spent all his adult life in Russia. He got involved in the military career, achieving the highest military degree of field marshal, and in 1735, he became general feldcejchmajster and head of the Main Chancery of the Artillery, thus becoming the commander of the whole Russian artillery. He was many times rewarded for his services, both materially and with the most important Polish and Russian orders.
