Las políticas autonómicas en materia agraria y de desarrollo rural

El artículo analiza el grado de desarrollo de las competencias de La Generalitat en materia agropecuaria, desde que en 1982 se aprobara el Estatuto de Autonomía de la Comunitat Valenciana. La producción legislativa desarrollada a lo largo de estos cuarenta años permite identificar un hilo conductor que podemos expresar a través de un conjunto de ideas fuerza en las que subyace el interés por la definición de políticas públicas encaminadas al sostenimiento de estos sectores, dada la importancia económica, social y cultural que tienen para nuestro territorio.

Celibat i masculinització rural són motiu d�estudi des fa dècades. Ara cobra interès en persistir el desequilibri genèsic fins amenaçar la sostenibilitat social dels pobles. Obviant la banalització del fenomen, l�explicació científica assenyala el procés de modernització i altres variables, com la fugida il·lustrada o el mercat de treball. La sobreemigració femenina expressa un conflicte, generacional i de gènere, què contradiu la perspectiva bucòlica de l�idil·li rural. El treball que ara presentem és un resum d�una investigació exploratòria (DEA, 2008) realitzada amb l�objectiu de conèixer per què fugen les dones i quin és l�abast de la qüestió als pobles valencians.
A macroeconomic analysis of the farmland value determinants in Italy

The determinants of farmland value and the factors that have caused its changes over time have been discussed extensively in the economic literature. This studies offer different classifications of the determinants of the farmland value. The aim of this paper is to investigate the influence on the farmland value of the some macro-economic variables related to the agricultural sector both directly and indirectly. A multiple regression model is adopted to answer the research questions. When we talk with basic education´s teachers there is an impression in the case of learning Social Sciences, and Geography in particular that these sciences are not useful for the explanation of socio-environmental and daily problems. The contribution of geographical certification programs to farm income and rural economies: The case of Pecorino Siciliano PDO

This study attempts to measure the capacity of the EU geographical certification scheme to positively influence the price of certified products and the incomes of their producers. A comparison of the economic results of two cheese-producing dairy farm enterprises with different business strategies and locations within the Sicilian hinterlands is performed in order to determine the transformation value of each dairy’s sheep milk into pecorino cheese (with and without the Protected Designation of Origin, or PDO, certification) and the related joint products (ricotta). A Branch-Price-and-Cut Algorithm for the Min-Max k -Vehicle Windy Rural Postman Problem

[EN] The min-max k -vehicles windy rural postman problem consists of minimizing the maximal distance traveled by a vehicle to find a set of balanced routes that jointly service all the required edges in a windy graph. This is a very difficult problem, for which a branch-and-cut algorithm has already been proposed, providing good results when the number of vehicles is small. In this article, we present a branch-price-and-cut method capable of obtaining optimal solutions for this problem when the number of vehicles is larger for the same set of required edges. Extensive computational results on instances from the literature are presented.

[EN] In Arc Routing Problems, ARPs, the aim is to find on a graph a minimum cost traversal satisfying some conditions related to the links of the graph. Due to restrictions to traverse some streets in a specified way, most applications of ARPs must be modeled with a mixed graph. Although several exact algorithms have been proposed, no polyhedral investigations have been done for ARPs on a mixed graph. All’interno delle forme di governance rurale, intesa secondo un approccio di concertazione e partecipazione dal basso alle politiche di sviluppo rurale, vanno sempre più diffondendosi in Italia i modelli distrettuali rurali e agricoli che privilegiano, secondo modalità integrate e multisettoriali, i percorsi di sviluppo locale ed endogeno. Alla luce di tali premesse l'articolo analizza il potenziale ruolo per uno sviluppo duraturo che i distretti rurali possono svolgere in Sicilia.
La adaptación a una nueva cotidianidad, experiencias cotidianas de mujeres inmigrantes en el ámbito rural

Este trabajo está basado en el trabajo etnográfico realizado en un pequeño municipio de Valencia, Enguera, donde un 25% de la población residente es de nacionalidad búlgara. A través de entrevistas y trabajo de campo se ha tratado de reconstruir la realidad cotidiana de esta población en el momento en que llegaron al municipio, así como sus procesos de adaptación a las costumbres.
