Splat solidification in thermal sprayed coatings relies on phenomena of various origins, time constants, and dimensional scales which altogether lead to complex residual stress states. As a result, in-service performance may be under or overestimated. Hence, this work aims at characterizing residual stress fields using high resolution instruments: a Raman spectrometer and a tailor-made Near-Field Scanning Microwave Microscope (NFSMM). Cette étude, basée sur l’utilisation d’un modèle de simulation, vise à identifier les déterminants de deux bénéfices environnementaux dus aux adventives. The aim of this PhD work is to highlight the interactions between the mechanical stress and the chemical composition within diffusion of matter process for a reactive solid. The chronological evolution of our work goes from a parametric numerical study to an experimental study and reveals the role of mechanical stresses on the oxygen diffusion process.Different origins of mechanical stress were first numerically analysed from the point of view of their impacts on the process of oxygen diffusion into a metal (Zr) or a ceramic (UO2) subjected to an oxidizing environment. Automorphisms of right-angled Artin groups

The purpose of this thesis is to study the automorphisms of right-angled Artin groups. Given a finite simplicial graph $\Gamma$, the right-angled Artin group $G_\Gamma$ associated to $\Gamma$ is the group defined by the presentation whose generators are the vertices of $\Gamma$, and whose relators are commutators of pairs of adjacent vertices. The first chapter is intended as a general introduction to the theory of right-angled Artin groups and their automorphisms. In a second chapter, we prove that every subnormal subgroup of $p$-power index in a right-angled Artin group is conjugacy $p$-separable. Comparative linguistics seems to suggest that the gap between two languages can be filled by grammar. But mapping the structural gaps between languages hardly makes for the more fundamental gap that is created by the writing of a new text, a supposedly identical addendum to the first. Writing that new text entails questions about the nature of texts, their intentions, their interpretations. Translation must therefore develop a hermeneutical approach.
