This study analyses the effects on health of the asymmetry of power relations between the sexes and, specifically, how life conditions have a bearing on personal well-being. Subjective discomfort usually manifests itself by means of symptoms. Epidemiological studies show a higher physical and mental morbidity in women. A critica1 review of previous studies highlights the connections between symptoms and gender role and shows the existence of bias in the theoretical models and clinical practices. ADHD Symptoms and peer problems: Mediation of executive function and theory of mind

Background: The social maladjustment suffered by many children with attention defi cit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is maintained over time, increasing the risk of subsequent adverse outcomes. The objectives of the study were to explore the mechanisms that operate between ADHD symptoms and social problems with peers, considering the mediation of FE and ToM. Method: 35 children with ADHD and 37 with typical development matched in age and IQ were compared. Parents assessed ToM skills and relationships with peers, and teachers provided EF ratings. En primer lugar, se expone una introducción amplia con consideraciones generales en relación al trasplante de órganos, realizando un breve recorrido histórico de los primeros trasplantes a nivel mundial, y después centrándonos en la ejemplar historia de España con la formación de la Organización Nacional de Trasplantes y la figura del coordinador de trasplantes. Asimismo, hemos descrito aspectos médicos específicos de cada una de las poblaciones de trasplantados (hígado, riñón y pulmón). Por otro lado, en este apartado de introducción también incluimos investigaciones vinculadas con la Calidad de Vida relacionada con la Salud (CVRS) en cada uno de los grupos de trasplantados.
