De lo que no cabe duda es de que este hombre solo, rodeado de un desierto visual de defensores de la institución, había acabado por encarnar, tal vez para sí solo y no para el partido que representaba, el corazón de la nueva democracia española en peligro. El trayecto había sido rápido, pero también demoledor para su partido. No sería esta, claro, la última imagen de Carrillo, pero probablemente sí la postrera de inmenso calado entre las que ven su figura de líder político trenzada con los avatares de la Transición.

La presente tesis doctoral tiene por objeto el estudio del teatro religioso del último tercio del Quinientos a través del análisis de un conjunto de composiciones dramáticas religiosas, un total de 21, reunidas en un manuscrito que perteneció en su día al conde de Gondomar (1567-1626). Este códice se conserva en la Biblioteca Nacional de España con la signatura Ms. 14767 y contiene tres autos religiosos, dos comedias bíblicas, dos comedias marianas y catorce comedias hagiográficas. El objeto de esta tesis doctoral es la receptoría de bienes confiscados de la Inquisición de Valencia, su estructura burocrática y sus procedimientos de actuación sobre la sociedad valenciana bajomedieval. Esta oficina se encargaba de ejecutar el secuestro y confiscación del patrimonio de los herejes condenados, así como de gestionar y liquidar dichos bienes una vez incorporados al fisco regio. Además, se ha analizado la evolución institucional que experimentó el Santo Oficio durante el periodo estudiado. Hemopressin is the first peptide ligand to be described for the CB₁ cannabinoid receptor. Hemopressin acts as an inverse agonist in vivo and can cross the blood-brain barrier to both inhibit appetite and induce antinociception. Despite being highly effective, synthetic CB₁ inverse agonists are limited therapeutically due to unwanted, over dampening of central reward pathways. However, hemopressin appears to have its effect on appetite by affecting satiety rather than reward, suggesting an alternative mode of action which might avoid adverse side effects. Our objective was to test the hypothesis that the beneficial effect of the administration of the recombinant form of tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA) in ischemic stroke patient not only results from its fibrinolytic activity but also from its ability to increase brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in the brain. To this end, we conducted an initial study to evaluate the effect of rt-PA on brain BDNF levels in healthy animals. In a second study, we investigated the effect of rt-PA on serum BDNF levels in ischemic stroke patients and in animals subjected to permanent focal cerebral ischemia.
