Evaluating Dance Consumption through the Experiential Value Approach
2018
Purpose – The experiential paradigm has been confirmed as a valuable means to explore and understand people’s consumption of cultural services, thus drawing an increasing interest in the marketing and consumer behavior literature. In this context, consumers’ behavioral decisions are considered not as merely functional but also strongly influenced by emotional dimensions and intrinsic aspects. As consumption of arts is strongly associated with feelings, the experiential approach is a valuable lens for exploring and understanding individuals who consume cultural services. This paper therefore adopts the experiential approach to assess dance as a consumption experience, which is meant to be in…
Content analysis of the empirical research on IMC from 2000 to 2015
2016
AbstractThe overall objective of this paper is to build upon previous empirical research into integrated marketing communications (IMC) and to provide guidelines for future research. A total of 80 empirical studies on IMC published between 2000 and 2015 are examined and systematically presented and discussed. IMC implementation, impact, perception, measurement and its relationship with technology emerge as five main research topics. Researchers seem to prefer quantitative research over qualitative and descriptive statistics analysis over more elaborated techniques. Europe is established as the top IMC research region, followed by America and Asia. Communication, education, retailing and tou…
Examining the link between integrated communication management and communication effectiveness in medium-sized enterprises
2012
On the basis of a framework for integrated communication management (ICM) derived from perspectives in the integrated marketing communications and communication management literature, we tested various hypotheses concerning the link between ICM and communication effectiveness. The hypotheses were tested on a sample of 642 Swiss-based companies, with a focus on medium-sized enterprises. The data yielded insights as to the role of ICM in respect of both ‘soft’ psychological and ‘hard’ economic measures of communication effectiveness. Results include that aligning communication with the corporate strategy and mission, scripting communication concepts and having a designated function for market…
Advertising Budget Practices: A Review
1995
Abstract The determination of the advertising budget has been studied by academics from several perspectives. One of these is to examine how this decision is made from a practical point of view. This paper reviews the nearly thirty studies published on this subject and highlights trends and differences over time which might allow us to reach conclusions, by size of firm, sector and geographical location. This descriptive approach to techniques for determining advertising budgets will allow us to draw some normative conclusions.

Autorytet Biblii w tradycji ewangelickiej
2011
The Bible in protestant tradition inherits exceptional meaning. There is nothing else along with the Bible that would present of equal or similar value for evangelical theology. Highest merits for elaborating such great respect to the Holy Scripture shall be awarded to the Father of Reformation – Martin Luther. In accordance with the sola scriptura reformative rule formed by him, the only normative value in the life and faith of Evangelical Churches is presented by the Bible. Such position is adopted by all post-Reformation Churches continuously. The rejection of Magisterium Ecclesiae may however lead to the risk of polysemantic and subjective interpretation of biblical chapters by the wors…
Which Is Which? Evaluation of Local Descriptors for Image Matching in Real-World Scenarios
2019
Matching with local image descriptors is a fundamental task in many computer vision applications. This paper describes the WISW contest held within the framework of the CAIP 2019 conference, aimed at benchmarking recent descriptors in challenging planar and non-planar real image matching scenarios. According to the contest results, the descriptors submitted to the competition, most of which based on deep learning, perform significantly better than the current state-of-the-art in image matching. Nonetheless, there is still room for improvement, especially in the case of non-planar scenes.
The Gaia-ESO Survey: matching chemodynamical simulations to observations of the Milky Way
2017
The typical methodology for comparing simulated galaxies with observational surveys is usually to apply a spatial selection to the simulation to mimic the region of interest covered by a comparable observational survey sample. In this work, we compare this approach with a more sophisticated post-processing in which the observational uncertainties and selection effects (photometric, surface gravity and effective temperature) are taken into account. We compare a 'solar neighbourhood analogue' region in a model MilkyWay-like galaxy simulated with RAMSES-CH with fourth release Gaia-ESO survey data. We find that a simple spatial cut alone is insufficient and that the observational uncertainties …
Gas Barrier, Rheological and Mechanical Properties of Immiscible Natural Rubber/Acrylonitrile Butadiene Rubber/Organoclay (NR/NBR/Organoclay) Blend N…
2020
In this paper, gas permeability studies were performed on materials based on natural rubber/acrylonitrile butadiene rubber blends and nanoclay incorporated blend systems. The properties of natural rubber (NR)/nitrile rubber (NBR)/nanoclay nanocomposites, with a particular focus on gas permeability, are presented. The measurements of the barrier properties were assessed using two different gases—O2 and CO2—by taking in account the blend composition, the filler loading and the nature of the gas molecules. The obtained data showed that the permeability of gas transport was strongly affected by: (i) the blend composition—it was observed that the increase in acrylonitrile butadiene rubber compon…
“Compatibilization” through Elongational Flow Processing of LDPE/PA6 Blends
2018
Polyamide/polyolefin blends have gained attention from the academia and the industry for several years. However, in order to optimize their properties, some drawbacks such as chemical incompatibility must be adequately overcome. This can be done by adding suitable compatibilizers. On the other hand, it is less known that suitable processing techniques may also lead to significant results. In a previous work on a low-density polyethylene/polyamide 6 (LDPE/PA6) blend, we found that the orientation due to elongational flow processing conditions could lead to an unexpected brittle&ndash
