Rituales, descentramientos territoriales y niveles de identidad: La Semana Santa Marinera de Valencia

The aim of this paper is to study how the processes of spatial and identity recomposition brought about by a globalized world affect traditional religious rituals, with particular reference to the <i>Semana Santa Marinera</i> processions in Valencia (Spain). Instead of the ritual giving rise to a single local identity, it can be seen that levels of local identity —while not disappearing— overlap more and more with increasingly vague new territorialities ranging from processional networks based on canon law to state-organized meetings. The significance in Finland of shipping on inland waterways has been great. This is due to the topography of the country with its many lakes and to the fact that the vast waterways in their natural state were easily navigable. The construction of canals resulted in even more extensive interconnected inland waterways. This study explores the tasks of the steamships plying these internal waterways, their numbers and significance, and also changes and the reasons for these between different inland waterways, as regards different types of vessels and shipowners in the period from the 1870s to the 1960s. Storie di mare sulla pelle: dall’old school al contemporaneo

Proponiamo un’analisi dei motivi del tatuaggio marinaresco e delle sue evoluzioni contemporanee mantenenti come tema portante il rapporto tra soggettività e mare. Il corpus sarà composto da illustrazioni e fotografie di provenienza bibliografica e verrà interpretato utilizzando, in particolare, gli strumenti di analisi semiotica del visivo. Il mare ha un ascendente particolare sul tatuaggio occidentale, tanto da poterne essere considerato, per molti versi, l’ambito fondativo.
