Tässä työssä tutkitaan kognitiivisten metaforien rakentumista ja toimintaa. Tutkimuksen pääkohteeksi nousee moraalisen ymmärryksen ja kognitiivisten metaforien suhde hyvinvoinnin käsitteen kautta. Aluksi tutkitaan Sam Harrisin tekstiä sen retorisesta viitekehyksestä käsin. Myöhemmin tutkielmassa metaforan toimintaa ja soveltamisen mahdollisuuksia tarkastellaan laajemmin suomalaisessa kulttuurissa ja mediassa. In this article, our focus is on sustainable development in mathematics education from the point of view of teacher training. The aim was to develop prospective teachers’ content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge of school mathematics. As a case study, we chose the mathematical symbol “a/b”, and examined how prospective class teachers in Finland connect it to the concepts of fraction, ratio, division, rational number or probability. This paper presents a hermeneutic theory for game studies. It starts by giving an overview of hermeneutics, shows how in understanding games it is useful to divide hermeneutics into two aspects -- real-time hermeneutics and game hermeneutics -- and finishes by detailing complementary approaches to hermeneutics for games. Tämä maisterintutkielma selvittää ilmisubjektin esiintyvyyttä kirjoitetussa oppijansuomessa. Tutkimus on aihealueeltaan suomi toisena kielenä -tutkimusta. Ilmisubjektin käyttöä kirjoitetussa oppijansuomessa ei ole vastaavanlaisesti tutkittu. Tutkimus pyrkii selvittämään, miten ilmisubjekti esiintyy yksikön 1. persoonassa Eurooppalaisen viitekehyksen (EVK) eri taitotasoilla. Lisäksi tutkitaan sitä, esiintyykö ilmisubjekti poikkeavasti eri semanttisissa verbiluokissa. The constellation of proverbs is quite permanent. Only one third of proverbs are supposed to change in about one hundred years (Kuusi 1994: 117−118). This means that the proverbs used in the 21st century are much the same as the proverbs in the beginning of the 20th century and quite the same as in 1850’s. In this article I focus on the proverb as a significant unit. Even if the proverbs are unchangeable, their meanings are not. The proverbial expressions can be looked from at least four stand points: (1) What is the proverb decoded to mean? (2) What do the words mean? (3) What does the speaker mean?
