Anomaly-based online intrusion detection system as a sensor for cyber security situational awareness system
2016
Almost all the organisations and even individuals rely on complex structures of data networks and networked computer systems. That complex data ensemble, the cyber domain, provides great opportunities, but at the same time it offers many possible attack vectors that can be abused for cyber vandalism, cyber crime, cyber espionage or cyber terrorism. Those threats produce requirements for cyber security situational awareness and intrusion detection capability. This dissertation concentrates on research and development of anomaly-based network intrusion detection system as a sensor for a situational awareness system. In this dissertation, several models of intrusion detection systems are devel…
L'évolution de l'occupation humaine : l'analyse spatiale exploratoire des données.Le problème de l'incertitude et de l'hétérogénéité des données en a…
2011
The analysis of the evolution of the settlement requires a lot of methodological questioning. Despite a frequent use of the spatial analysis methods, few works return to their methodological problems. This article proposes to make a comparison and a discussion around two exploratory statistical methods (the K function of Ripley and the Kernel Density Estimation). It seems that scale, quality and quantity of input data, are three essential parameters to be taken into account so as to lead a spatial analysis in archaeology. In intrinsic way, archaeological data are non homogeneous. For that purpose, our article proposes a multi scalar approach integrating the non homogeneousness character of …
Consumer selection of vegetarian food in restaurants
2015
Development, which began from agricultural and industrial revolutions has improved and eased human lives on this planet. But the massive growth of the human population has caused some serious environmental impacts on our planet. Millions of hectares of forests have been converted into arable land, fresh water resources are decreasing and oceans are getting overfished, while the demand for food continues to grow. Agriculture is the most important contributor to the climate change and global meat production sector causes more greenhouse gases to the atmosphere than transport. By reducing the consumption of meat and increasing the proportion of vegetables in human diets, the environmental impa…
Assessment of the Inter-Batch Variability of Microstructure Parameters in Topical Semisolids and Impact on the Demonstration of Equivalence
2019
Demonstration of similar microstructure is essential for demonstrating the equivalence of generic topical products since the microstructure of semisolids may affect the drug release. The objective of this study was to compare the microstructure-defining physical parameters of different batches of a reference ointment containing calcipotriol and betamethasone (Daivobet 50 µ
Asiantuntijaorganisaatioiden palkitsemisjärjestelmät ja niiden yhteys henkilöstön motivaatioon ja oppimiseen
2016
Ensimmäisenä tutkimus pyrki selvittämään yleisellä tasolla, millaisia palkitsemisjärjestelmiä asian-tuntijaorganisaatioissa on käytössä. Asiantuntijaorganisaation tärkein voimavara ja resurssi on henkilöstö. Tästä syystä to…
Jeu de Taquin and Diamond Cone for so(2n+1, C)
2020
International audience; The diamond cone is a combinatorial description for a basis of a natural indecomposable n-module, where n is the nilpotent factor of a complex semisimple Lie algebra g. After N. J. Wildberger who introduced this notion, this description was achieved for g = sl(n) , the rank 2 semisimple Lie algebras and g = sp (2n).In this work, we generalize these constructions to the Lie algebra g = so(2n + 1). The orthogonal semistandard Young tableaux were defined by M. Kashiwara and T. Nakashima, they index a basis for the shape algebra of so(2n + 1). Defining the notion of orthogonal quasistandard Young tableaux, we prove that these tableaux describe a basis for a quotient of t…

Research literature clustering using diffusion maps
2013
We apply the knowledge discovery process to the mapping of current topics in a particular field of science. We are interested in how articles form clusters and what are the contents of the found clusters. A framework involving web scraping, keyword extraction, dimensionality reduction and clustering using the diffusion map algorithm is presented. We use publicly available information about articles in high-impact journals. The method should be of use to practitioners or scientists who want to overview recent research in a field of science. As a case study, we map the topics in data mining literature in the year 2011. peerReviewed
Unsupervised network intrusion detection systems for zero-day fast-spreading network attacks and botnets
2015
Today, the occurrence of zero-day and complex attacks in high-speed networks is increasingly common due to the high number vulnerabilities in the cyber world. As a result, intrusions become more sophisticated and fast to detrimental the networks and hosts. Due to these reasons real-time monitoring, processing and intrusion detection are now among the key features of NIDS. Traditional types of intrusion detection systems such as signature base IDS are not able detect intrusions with new and complex strategies. Now days, automatic traffic analysis and anomaly intrusion detection became more efficient in field of network security however they suffer from high number of false alarms. Among all …
