Analysis and Comparison of Deep Learning Networks for Supporting Sentiment Mining in Text Corpora

In this paper, we tackle the problem of the irony and sarcasm detection for the Italian language to contribute to the enrichment of the sentiment analysis field. We analyze and compare five deep-learning systems. Results show the high suitability of such systems to face the problem by achieving 93% of F1-Score in the best case. Furthermore, we briefly analyze the model architectures in order to choose the best compromise between performances and complexity.
Increasing the Inference and Learning Speed of Tsetlin Machines with Clause Indexing

The Tsetlin Machine (TM) is a machine learning algorithm founded on the classical Tsetlin Automaton (TA) and game theory. It further leverages frequent pattern mining and resource allocation principles to extract common patterns in the data, rather than relying on minimizing output error, which is prone to overfitting. Unlike the intertwined nature of pattern representation in neural networks, a TM decomposes problems into self-contained patterns, represented as conjunctive clauses. The clause outputs, in turn, are combined into a classification decision through summation and thresholding, akin to a logistic regression function, however, with binary weights and a unit step output function. …

In the fall of 1969, Manuel Vázquez Montalbán published five reports entitled Crónica sentimental de España, where he analyzes everyday life to reflect the sentimental evolution of Spaniards from the 1940s to the 1960s and highlights the mechanisms by which popular culture forges the collective imagination, while the Francoism makes it a transmitter of moral conduct norms within a program of populist propaganda. En el presente artículo se analiza un estereotipo femenino de los libros de caballerías, el de las doncellas confidentes, desde la perspectiva de la función didáctica que desempeñan en el ámbito sentimental y erótico respecto a sus amigas. Enfocando algunas figuras concretas, como Plaerdemavida en Tirant lo Blanc y Triola en Platir, se considera el valor del humorismo en la asunción de un papel educativo que posibilita el establecimiento, por parte de estas mujeres, de un juego con el concepto de amor y de sexualidad. Otrkārt, noteikt vai sociālo mediju ietekme atšķiras šiem neaizvietojamajiem tokeniem un kriptovalūtai Ethereum. Pētījums veikts par 2021. gada Reddit platformā publicētajiem ziņojumiem. Tāpat analīzei tika lejuplādēti digitālo aktīvu Decentraland, Tezos, Chiliz un Ethereum monētu tirgus dienas dati no Yahoo! Finance tīmekļa vietnes, tādējādi iegūstot 361 gadījumu par katru no aktīviem. Ziņojumu polaritātes noteikšanai tika izmantots VADER klasifikators. This thesis focuses on the linguistic expression of feelings and emotions in a corpus until now little questioned in this type of studies, in this case the forms of instantaneous communication made possible by a new technology and that seems predisposed to many expressive markers. It moves the cursor studies on the linguistic expression of these emotional categories of the system to employment, interviewing a corpus formed by four forms of communication: blogs, discussion forums, Facebook and Twitter.
