Per-flow signalling extension across DiffServ domains

This paper describes a framework devised to extend per-flow admission control operation across Differentiated Services domains. Although the specific case of interoperability with RSVP is under discussion, our proposal can be easily adapted to other hop-by-hop signalling protocols. In our framework, DiffSery border routers accomplish three tasks. First, during the set-up phase, flows are mapped onto PHB groups on the basis of their QoS and traffic specifications. A Branch-Price-and-Cut Algorithm for the Min-Max k -Vehicle Windy Rural Postman Problem

[EN] The min-max k -vehicles windy rural postman problem consists of minimizing the maximal distance traveled by a vehicle to find a set of balanced routes that jointly service all the required edges in a windy graph. This is a very difficult problem, for which a branch-and-cut algorithm has already been proposed, providing good results when the number of vehicles is small. In this article, we present a branch-price-and-cut method capable of obtaining optimal solutions for this problem when the number of vehicles is larger for the same set of required edges. Extensive computational results on instances from the literature are presented.

AbstractThis article reports a study of a full-scale digital examination in a five-year master program of teacher education in Norway. The innovative design involves observing a video case based on an authentic classroom situation and analysing the case in light of educational theory and subject content knowledge. Lo studio si concentra sulle norme relative alla responsabilità dei prestatori di servizi di condivisione di contenuti on-line e le confronta con le disposizioni generali contenute nel Digital Services Act. The essay analyzes the transposition of dir. 2019/790/EU, on copyright and related rights in the digital single market. The study focuses on the liability rules of online content sharing service providers and compares them with the general provisions contained in the Digital Services Act.

Branches of index-preserving solutions to systems of second order ODEs

We investigate the existence of a continuum of index-preserving solutions to a Dirichlet problem associated with a parameter-dependent system of second order ordinary differential equations, developing a detailed analysis on the behaviour of the branches of nontrivial solutions. Our approach is based on the Rabinowitz global bifurcation Theorem combined with the notion of index and nullity of suitable linear boundary value problems. An application of the result to the study of branches of odd, periodic solutions for suitable systems of two linearly coupled pendulums of lenghts variables is also analyzed.
