Rodi-Risberg addresses trauma’s generic border-crossing movement through Sophie Hannah’s socially conscious crime thriller Hurting Distance (2007), a trauma narrative of sexual violence and emotional abuse that can be referred to as crime trauma fiction because it incorporates and blends features of both genres. Rodi-Risberg’s main argument is that crime trauma fiction such as Hannah’s novel represents traumatic experience as politically significant by mobilising affect through its themes of violence as social critique. Background and purpose: In school physical education (PE) lessons, gender is often produced heteronormatively. Lesbian, gay, bi, transgender, intersexual, and queer (LGBTIQ+) students have reported experiences of discrimination and obstacles to participation. This study analyzed Finnish PE teachers and LGBTIQ+ students’ talk about discrimination and problematic practices in PE and how equality in PE might be improved. Piesaiste kā iekšējais darbības modelis, seksuālais paškoncepts kā kognitīvo shēmu modelis un seksuālā sevis atklāšana kā komunikatīvs resurss tiek analizēti korelāciju modelī. Par pētījuma mērķi tika izvirzīts noteikt saistību starp seksuālo paškonceptu, piesaistes stilu, seksuālo sevis atklāšanu un apmierinātību ar seksuālo dzīvi sievietēm pieaugušo vecumā. Sievietes pieaugušā vecumā (N=70) sniedza atbildes uz aptaujas jautājumiem tiešsaistē. Sexual selection on song and cuticular hydrocarbons in two distinct populations of Drosophila montana

Sexual selection has the potential to contribute to population divergence and speciation. Most studies of sexual selection in Drosophila have concentrated on a single signaling modality, usually either courtship song or cuticular hydrocarbons (CHCs), which can act as contact pheromones. We have examined the relationship between both signal types and reproductive success using F1–3 offspring of wild- collected flies, raised in the lab. We used two populations of the Holarctic species Drosophila montana that represent different phylogeographic clades that have been separate for ca. 0.5 million years (MY), and differ to some extent in both traits. Mucho antes de que las cubiertas de la novela, de un azul intenso, salieran de la imprenta, con el título y el nombre del escritor en letras blancas de ébano, el contenido de la novela era ya famoso, incluso notorio.
