Tämä Tansaniaan sijoittuva väitöskirjatutkimus tarkastelee vammaisuutta kehityskysymyksenä seksuaali- ja lisääntymisterveyden ja -oikeuksien kautta. Se edistää intersektionaalista ja kontekstisidonnaista ymmärrystä vammaisuudesta, sukupuolesta ja nuoruudesta. Although predation is commonly thought to exert the strongest selective pressure on coloration in aposematic species, sexual selection may also influence coloration. Specifically, polymorphism in aposematic species cannot be explained by natural selection alone. Males of the aposematic wood tiger moth (Arctia plantaginis) are polymorphic for hindwing coloration throughout most of their range. In Scandinavia, they display either white or yellow hindwings. Polymorphic warning signals in aposematic systems are enigmatic because predator learning should favor the most common form, creating positive frequency-dependent survival. However, many populations exhibit variation in warning signals. There are various selective mechanisms that can counter positive frequency-dependent selection and lead to temporal or spatial warning signal diversification. Doing gender and sexuality intersectionally in multimodal social media practices

The chapter focuses on how members in participatory cultures engage in everyday, informal, and interest-driven social and discursive practices primarily on social media but also in ways that relate to the material and physical contexts of their lives. We show how social actors operating in these sites construct gender and sexuality intersectionally and multimodally. We argue that gender and sexuality are always constructed at intersections with other identity categories.
