The trail-following pheromone and sex pheromones were investigated in the Indomalayan termite Hodotermopsis sjoestedti belonging to the new family Archotermopsidae. Gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS) after solid phase microextraction (SPME) of the sternal gland secretion of pseudergates and trail-following bioassays demonstrated that the trailfollowing pheromone of H. sjoestedti was syn-4,6-dimethylundecan-1-ol, a new chemical structure for termite pheromones. GC-MS after SPME of the sternal gland secretion of alates also allowed the identification of sex-specific compounds. An integrated approach physicochemistry and structures activity relationships has been carried out to study the aroma compounds retention-release phenomenon in a fat free dairy gel added with pectin. This study aimed to identify the molecular properties that govern this phenomenon assuming that modifying the structure leads automatically to a change in the retention-release of aroma compounds. Abstract Statement of problem: This study aimed to analyse the ability of a model based on achievement motivation and self-determination theories to predict adherence to competitive sport. This model incorporated commitment as predictor of adherence. A prospective study was performed with a sample of 302 handball players aged between 14 and 18 years. Structural equation modelling gave support to the model proposed. In well-being research the term happiness is often used as synonymous with life satisfaction. However, little is known about lay people's understanding of happiness. Building on the available literature, this study explored lay definitions of happiness across nations and cultural dimensions, analyzing their components and relationship with participants' demographic features. In this article, it is studied the market of land lease in the Valentian rural society in the end of the Middle Age. Using notarial sources and court rolls, it is possible to know the economic function that exercised this forms of land management in the agrarian system. The penetration of urban capital through this kind of contracts was always limited. Pētījumā mērķis bija noskaidrot, kādas personības iezīmes ir nozīmīgi saistītas ar apmierinātību ar pāra attiecībām daţādās pāra attiecību ilguma grupās. Pētījumā piedalījās 115 pāri (230 respondenti), 39 pāri, kas pāra attiecībās ir 2 – 6 gadus, 38 pāri, kas pāra attiecībās ir 12 – 16 gadus un 38 pāri, kas pāra attiecībās ir 22 un vairāk gadus. Pētījumā tika izmantota Latvijas Personības aptauja (Perepjolkina & Reņģe, 2013), pašraksturojuma un citvērtējuma forma, un Apmierinātības ar attiecībām aptauja (/IMS/ - Index of Marital Satisfaction, Hudson & Walter, 1982).
