Objectives The purpose of this study was to examine whether mothers’ musical background has an effect on their own and their children’s sedentary behavior (SB) and physical activity (PA). The aim was also to assess children’s and their mothers’ exercise adherence when using movement-to-music video program. Design Sub-group analysis of an intervention group in a randomized controlled trial (ISRCTN33885819). Rippling of two-dimensional materials by line defects

Two-dimensional materials and their mechanical properties are known to be profoundly affected by rippling deformations. However, although ripples are fairly well understood, less is known about their origin and controlled modification. Here, motivated by recent reports of laser-controlled creation of line defects in graphene, we investigate how line defects could be used to control rippling in graphene and other two-dimensional materials. Bakalaura darba tēma ir Kustīgums un statiskums Ovidija „Metamorfozēs”. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt leksikas materiālu, kas Ovidija poēmas „Metamorfozes” pirmajā grāmatā ataino kustīguma un statiskuma stāvokļus, tādējādi atklājot poēmas pirmās grāmatas mākslinieciskā snieguma aspektus. Mērķa sasniegšanai teorētiskajā daļā ir apskatīta informācija no zinātniskās literatūras, kā arī svarīgākie jēdzieni, kas bija nepiecišami bakalaura darba izstrādei – kustīgums, statiskums, leksika, semantika u.c.. Prakstiskajā daļā, kas sastāv no divām nodaļām, izmantojot leksiski semantiskās un kontekstuālās analīzes metodes, tiek izpētīta kustīguma un statiskuma stāvokļu aprakstoša leksika.

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt sentiendi leksikas semantiku un izvērtēt tās funkcijas Ovidija poēmā „Ars amatoria”. Mērķa sasniegšanai tiek apzinātas mūsdienu pētnieku atziņas par Ovidija poēmu „Ars amatoria”, tās raksturiezīmes, kā arī teorētisks materiāls par semantiku un semantisko lauku. Bakalaura darba vajadzībām konstruēts sentiendi leksiski semantiskais lauks. Ņemot to vērā, tiek atlasītas un grupētas leksēmas tematiskajās grupās jeb piecās maņās. Diplomdarbā pētītas metodes un paņēmieni skolēna vārdu krājuma paplašināšanai angļu valodas stundās. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt mūsdienu situāciju leksikas mācīšanā jaunāko klašu skolēniem, kā arī ieteikt veidu, kā labāk attīstīt leksikas un mācīšanās prasmes. Teorētiskajā daļā sniegts pārskats par īpašām metodēm, paņēmieniem un principiem, kā jaunākajiem skolēniem mācīt un apgūt leksiku. Empīriskā daļa veltīta praktisko ideju aprobēšanai klasē un rezultātu analīzei. Pētījumā izmantotas tādas datu vākšanas metodes kā testi, aptauja un novērošana.
