Rapports au travail et socialisations singulières d'étudiant·es issu·es de milieux populaires.

International audience; L'analyse de 19 entretiens auprès d'étudiant·es issus de milieux populaires met en avant un rapport au travail pluriel, qui s'articule autour de la dimension expressive et instrumentale de l'activité professionnelle espérée. La place de la dimension expressive tient beaucoup au statut d'étudiant du supérieur et distingue les jeunes rencontrés d'autres jeunes issus de milieux populaires. Néanmoins, la promotion sociale espérée et les attentes à son égard dépendent de la socialisation en cours d'études et de l'évolution des conditions socio-économiques des étudiant·es rencontré·es. Cette réversibilité révèle la fragilité de la mobilité sociale en train de se faire.

Cross-cultural validation of the Mood Questionnaire in three spanish-speaking countries Argentina, Ecuador, and Spain

This study validates the Mood Questionnaire for adults in three Spanishspeaking countries: Argentina, Ecuador, and Spain. It then analyzes the influence of gender and cultural differences on mood, and whether there is a relationship between mood, emotional intelligence, and the Avoidance of Responsibility. A convenience sample of 1048 adults, with a middle-class socioeconomic background, was selected from three Spanish-speaking countries (Spain, Argentina, and Ecuador). Background A positive relationship between problematic gaming and escapism motivation to play video games has been well established, suggesting that problematic gaming may result from attempts to deal with negative emotions. However, to date, no study has examined how emotion dysregulation affects both escapism motives and problematic gaming patterns.
