The close classical T Tauri binary V4046 Sgr: Complex magnetic fields & distributed mass accretion

We report here the first results of a multi-wavelength campaign focussing on magnetospheric accretion processes within the close binary system V4046 Sgr, hosting two partly-convective classical T Tauri stars of masses ~0.9 Msun and age ~12 Myr. In this paper, we present time-resolved spectropolarimetric observations collected in 2009 September with ESPaDOnS at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope (CFHT) and covering a full span of 7d or ~2.5 orbital/rotational cycles of V4046 Sgr. Small circularly polarised Zeeman signatures are detected in the photospheric absorption lines but not in the accretion-powered emission lines of V4046 Sgr, thereby demonstrating that both system components host lar…

Context: In preparation for the COROT mission, an exhaustive photometric study of Be stars located in the seismology fields of the COROT mission has been performed. The very precise and long-time-spanned photometric observations gathered by the COROT satellite will give important clues of the origin of the Be phenomenon. Aims: The aim of this work is to find short-period variable Be stars located in the seismology fields of COROT and to study and characterise their pulsational properties. The aim of the research is to test how VR and AR technologies can contribute to a virtuous reconnection between the museums, where archaeological works of art are exhibited, and the sites where these works come from. The paper reports the results of the research activity aimed to define the physical-mechanics characteristics of structural elements made of wood-steel, and/or wood-steel-concrete, jointed by steel con¬nectors. Una questione ancora molto dibattuta è il grado di lateralizzazione anatomica-funzionale dei processi di controllo esecutivo della DLPFC coinvolti nella memoria di riconoscimento. Il lavoro di tesi indaga le connessioni tra DLPFC e ippocampo mediante l’applicazione di tecniche di neuromodulazione dell’eccitabilità della DLPFC che consentano di accrescere l’attività ippocampale durante compiti di memoria di riconoscimento. UV detection is interesting for combustion optimization, air contamination control, fire and solar blind rocket launching detection. Most of these applications require that UV detectors have a huge dynamic response between UV and the visible, and a very low dark current in the range of the UV flux measured. (Al,Ga)N alloys present a large direct bandgap in this range and therefore can be used as an active region in such detectors. To take advantage of the large Schottky barrier, the good alloy quality, and to avoid any doping problems, we have developed MSM photodetectors. Está ampliamente reconocido que la violencia de pareja tiene un elevado impacto sobre la salud integral de las mujeres. En este sentido, resulta necesario investigar tal impacto a lo largo del tiempo y evaluar qué factores contribuyen a la recuperación o deterioro de la salud.
