A subgroup H of a finite group G is a partial CAP-subgroup of G if there is a chief series of G such that H either covers or avoids its chief factors. Partial cover and avoidance property has turned out to be very useful to clear up the group structure. In this paper, finite groups in which the second minimal subgroups of their Sylow p-subgroups, p a fixed prime, are partial CAP-subgroups are completely classified.
Ethyl hexanoate transfer in paper and plastic food packaging by sorption and permeation experiments

The barrier properties of one treated paper packaging and one standard plastic film (bi-oriented polypropylene, biOPP) were assessed for ethyl hexanoate. Three methods based either on sorption (gravimetry and micro-atmosphere-derived method) or permeation kinetic determination were used in controlled conditions of aroma vapor concentration (107 Pa), temperature (25 degrees C) and relative humidity (about 0 %). Ethyl hexanoate solubility values were on the same range of magnitude for both packaging films in spite of their different nature and composition. Ettore Gabrici, who first excavated the structure located in the northwest corner of Solunto’s agora in 1920-21, identified the remains as part of a thermal bath, despite missing some of the key elements which usually characterize this type of buildings (hypocaust, praefurnium, heating pipes). After the re-examination of the architectural elements, this paper suggests a different interpretation which takes into account archaeological evidences from the broader Mediterranean context (especially from Sicily and the Punic world). Deficit irrigation and maturation stage influence quality and flavonoid composition of ‘Valencia’ orange fruit

BACKGROUND:Effects of continuous deficit irrigation (DI) and partial rootzone drying (PRD) treatments (50%ETc) in comparison with full irrigation (CI, 100% ETc) were investigated during ‘Valencia’ orange fruit maturation. Ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography/high-resolutionmass spectrometry was used to quantify hesperidin, narirutin, tangeritin, nobiletin, didymin and neoeriocitrin in the fruit juice and peel. RESULTS: No significant effect of irrigation was found on yield, juice soluble solids or acidity. Juice color was not influenced by irrigation or harvest date, whereas peel color increased during maturation and was more pronounced in CI and PRD fruits. Juice acidity reached a …
