Recent results on Heavy-Ion induced reactions of interest for 0νββ decay

An updated overview of recent results on Heavy-Ion induced reactions of interest for neutrinoless double beta decay is reported in the framework of the NUMEN project. The NUMEN idea is to study heavy-ion induced Double Charge Exchange (DCE) reactions with the aim to get information on the nuclear matrix elements for neutrinoless double beta (0νββ) decay. Moreover, to infer the neutrino average masses from the possible measurement of the half- life of 0νββ decay, the knowledge of the nuclear matrix elements is a crucial aspect. Degradation study of enniatins by liquid chromatography–triple quadrupole linear ion trap mass spectrometry

Abstract Enniatins A, A1, B and B1 (ENs) are mycotoxins produced by Fusarium spp. and are normal contaminants of cereals and derivate products. In this study, the stability of ENs was evaluated during food processing by simulation of pasta cooking. Thermal treatments at different incubation times (5, 10 and 15 min) and different pH (4, 7 and 10) were applied in an aqueous system and pasta resembling system (PRS). The concentrations of the targeted mycotoxins were determined using liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry. Deuterium hyperfine splittings in the rotational spectrum of NH2D as revealed by Lamb-dip spectroscopy

Abstract In the context of radio-astronomical observations, laboratory experiments constitute a cornerstone in the interpretation of rich line surveys due to the concomitant presence of numerous emitting molecules. Here, we report the investigation of three different rotational transitions of mono-deuterated ammonia (NH2D), a species of astrophysical interest, for which the contribution of the deuterium nuclear spin to the rotational spectrum has been resolved for the first time in the millimeter- and submillimeter-wave domain. Single-channel and two-channel methods for land surface temperature retrieval from DAIS data and its application to the Barrax site

In this paper, a methodology using a single-channel and a two-channel method is presented to estimate the land surface temperature from the DAIS (Digital Airborne Imaging Spectrometer) thermal channels 74 (8.747 µm), 75 (9.648 µm), 76 (10.482 µm), 77 (11.266 µm), 78 (11.997 µm) and 79 (12.668 µm). The land surface temperature retrieved with both methods has been validated over the Barrax site (Albacete, Spain) in the framework of the DAISEX (Digital Airborne Imaging Spectrometer Experiment) field campaigns. Signal Amplification By Reversible Exchange (SABRE) boosts NMR signals of various nuclei enabling new applications spanning from magnetic resonance imaging to analytical chemistry and fundamental physics. Temperature and emissivity separation from calibrated data of the Digital Airborne Imaging Spectrometer

Abstract The Digital Airborne Imaging Spectrometer (DAIS), with six thermal infrared channels in the 8–14 μm window, was flown over the Barrax test site, Spain, in the framework of the DAIS Experiment in the summer of 1998. Atmospheric correction of the DAIS thermal channels was performed by means of local radiosonde measurements and a radiative transfer model.
