On the basis of a comparison of the educational approaches of Andrew Wright and David Hay this paper illustrates the persisting problem of dichotomising cognitive and trans‐cognitive aspects of spiritual development and education. Even though both Wright and Hay speak of the same topic – spirituality and spiritual education – they define these terms very differently, and as a consequence, they draw altogether different practical implications, set different priorities, and warn of different dangers in spiritual education. Abstract The aim of our project was to deepen understanding of the legacy of our predecessors, which are to be found in the historical centre of Sibiu, to develop map reading skills using the techniques and rules of orienteering. Most students participated enthusiastically in the search for historical sights and found the activity extremely attractive. Do South African townships lack entrepreneurial spirit?

It is often assumed that the black population of South Africa lack entrepreneurial spirit and an entrepreneurial culture. A survey conducted in the Walmer Township in Port Elizabeth explored the entrepreneurial spirit and culture in terms of entrepreneurial activities, perceived start-up barriers, entrepreneurship climate, and general cultural factors relating to entrepreneurship. The sample comprised of 309 black adults living in Walmer Township. The results revealed surprisingly high entrepreneurial activity in the form of informal business ventures.
