Image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are related to, or performed under, some kind of imaging. Such imaging may be direct inspection (as in open surgery) or indirect inspection as in endoscopy or laparoscopy. Common to all these techniques is the transformation of optical and visible information to a monitor or the eye of the operator. Summary Background Body-mass index (BMI) and diabetes have increased worldwide, whereas global average blood pressure and cholesterol have decreased or remained unchanged in the past three decades. We quantified how much of the effects of BMI on coronary heart disease and stroke are mediated through blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose, and how much is independent of these factors. Currently, there are no approved pharmacotherapies for addiction to cocaine and other psychostimulant drugs. Several studies have proposed that cannabidiol (CBD) could be a promising treatment for substance use disorders. In the present work, the authors describe the scarce preclinical and human research about the actions of CBD on the effects of stimulant drugs, mainly cocaine and methamphetamine (METH). Additionally, the possible mechanisms underlying the therapeutic potential of CBD on stimulant use disorders are reviewed. Pārliecinošu valodas līdzekļu lietojums uzņēmumu misiju apgalvojumos

Šajā bakalaura darbā tiek analizēti pārliecinošie valodas līdzekļi un to izmantošana uzņēmumu misiju apgalvojumos klientu uzmanības piesaistīšanai. Pētījuma mērķa sasniegšanai tika izmantotas dīvas metodes: atbilstošās literatūras izpēte un diskursa analīze. Pētījuma datu kopums sastāv no trīsdesmit naftas kompāniju misiju apgalvojumiem. Tika secināts, ka misiju apgalvojumos izmantotie pārliecinošie valodas izteiksmes līdzekļi ietekmē lasītāju piesaistot to uzmanību. Turklāt, pētījums atklāj, ka izvēlētajā korpusā visbiežāk izmantotie pārliecinošās valodas līdzekļi ir: īpašības vārds (26%), iekļaujošā valoda (19%), vietniekvārdi (18%), atkārtošanās (17%), aliterācija (12%).

PurposeThis article analyzes the links between financial reports and reputation in the context of Finnish public sector organizations. Il saggio intende presentare l’intervento, dei primi del sec. XX, nel palazzo-villa di Haghìa Triàda, nell’isola di Creta, per la conservazione del suo megaron. La sala possiede forma quasi quadrata, con sedili, ricoperti di lastre di gesso alabastrino, disposti nei tre lati; di fronte ad essa è una corte che la separa dall’esterno. La sala doveva avere una copertura sostenuta da pilastri di legno, che portavano le travi e i solai degli ambienti sovrastanti. Gli alloggiamenti, dove un tempo erano inseriti i pilastri di legno, risultavano perimetrati dalle lastre di gesso che ricoprivano le pareti della sala.
