This paper deals with the subject of nominal(ized) style in contrast with clausal style. Expressing processes and qualities as entities involves a certain kind of metaphor –a grammatical metaphor, in the sense systemic functional linguistic conceives it. Furthermore this device is useful to improve the development of the thematic progression of a text. Nominalized style is characteristic of scientific academic discourse, but it widely spreads along other types of discourse, implying sometimes an effect of abstraction and opacity unsuitable for other discursive purposes and specially for literary genres.

This article shows how the narrator can tell more than what the journalistic nonfiction orthodoxy dictates. By way of narrating a source’s speech, the narrator can report states of consciousness –i.e., feelings, thoughts, perceptions– as it happens in novels that have what is commonly known as omniscient narrators. Although this has never been studied thoroughly, it is a frequent practice in successful nonfiction texts.

Review of satirical and obscene poetry, from the Galician/Portuguese and Provençal traditions to the «Cancionero de obras provocantes a risa» including Baena’s «Cancionero» and the «Cancionero General» by Hernando del Castillo. The author shows there is continuity in the use of these themes that is independent of their treatment and the rhetorical settings.The last pages are dedicated to the «Carajicomedia», the work of an author who is familiar with Valencia and perhaps with the milieu of Fenollar and company.

Tenses constitute a complex system of oppositions based on time, aspect, and temporal distance. Taking these oppositions as basic, this article deals with the stylistic properties that verbal tenses acquire in discourse. In addition, it presents an analysis of some stylistically marked uses of the imperfect, the future, the conditional, and the past perfect. In all these cases, the verbal tenses keep some of their basic properties but introduce temporal or aspectual changes that lead to pragmatic and stylistic changes closely related to certain narrative effects.

This paper summarizes articles and books about Catalan stylistics ans pragmatics. Variational research in catalan sociolinguistic describes standard, literary, and conversational forms. The paper explains the contents of these studies and distinguishes between oral and writing code. Emphasis is put on some aspects of variations, such as field of discourse, tone and tenor, wich determine the kind of registers. De los riesgos en la socialización global: adolescentes en conflicto con la ley con perfil de ajuste social

El presente artículo analiza los efectos del cambio social en los adolescentes de la era del riesgo. Se trata de una investigación que integra diferentes métodos y técnicas en aras de triangular las evidencias. Se estudiaron 183 adolescentes condenados a medidas de internamiento judicial durante un periodo de cinco años (desde 2011). Como principales hallazgos destacan la presencia de riesgo en contextos protegidos, donde los padres han disminuido el compromiso instructivo sobre sus hijos, delegando su responsabilidad parental, reduciéndose así la educación familiar en valores prosociales. 5,5'-Bi[1,2,3]triazolo[5,1-a]isoquinoline 6 has been synthesised from [1,2,3]triazolo[5,1-a] isoquinoline 5 by four procedures, dimerisation by LDA, Stille and Suzuki self-coupling reactions, and Suzuki cross-coupling reaction. The last is the best. Compound 6 gives 1,1'bi(acetoxymethyl)-3,3'-biisoquinoline 10 by triazolo ring opening by acetic acid.
Narcisma saistība ar organizācijas vadītāju līderības stilu

Bakalaura darba mērķis bija noskaidrot, ar kuru no līderības stiliem korelē narcisms un tā dimensijas. Pētījumā piedalījās 51 organizāciju vadītājs Latvijā, no kuriem 19 bija vīrieši un 32 sievietes. Respondentu vecuma diapazons – no 21 līdz 70 gadiem (M = 41,67, SD = 13,55). Lai iegūtu nepieciešamos datus, narcisma līmenis tika mērīts, izmantojot Narcistisko personības iezīmju aptauju “Narcissistic Personality Inventory” (NPI) un līderības stils tika noteikts ar “Līderības stila novērtējuma aptauju”.
