Pleurotus opuntiae revisited e An insight to the phylogeny of dimitic Pleurotus species with emphasis on the P. djamor complex

Abstract The name Pleurotus opuntiae is indiscriminately used for describing mushrooms with white to off-white to white-grey pilei with short or absent stipe and dimitic hyphal system, which grow on plants of the genera Opuntia, Yucca, Agave, Phytolacca etc. However, the outcome of the present study evidences that this name should be reserved for specimens deriving from the Mediterranean area only; an epitype originating from Italy on Opuntia ficus-indica is designated. Multivariate morphometric analysis of the Stipa turkestanica group (Poaceae: Stipa sect. Stipa)

Based on numerical analyses of macromorphological characters (cluster analysis, principal coordinate analysis and principal component analysis), scanning electron microscopy observation of lemma and lamina micromorphology, as well as field observations, five taxa belonging to the Stipa turkestanica group have been recognized in the mountain area of Central Asia. They are S. turkestanica subsp. turkestanica, S. turkestanica subsp. trichoides, S. macroglossa subsp. macroglossa, S. macroglossa subsp. kazachstanica and S. kirghisorum. Stipa ×fallax (Poaceae: Pooideae: Stipeae), a new natural hybrid from Tajikistan, and a new combination in Stipa drobovii

Stipa ×fallax nothosp. nov . (Poaceae), from western Pamir Alai Mts (Tajikistan), is described and illustrated. Field observation, numerical analyses of morphology, and pollen grain viability data show that it originated from hybridization between S. drobovii and S. macroglossa subsp. macroglossa , species representing sections Smirnovia and Stipa , respectively. Stipa ×fallax is morphologically close to S. ×alaica and S. ×hissarica , but is distinguished by its shortly pilose lower part of the awn and densely pubescent leaves. Work places with stipend programme and its impact on poverty risk decrease: Case of Latvia

The aim of the paper is to analyze theoretical concepts of poverty risk and to estimate the impact of the Workplaces with Stipend Programme (hereinafter WWS) on poverty risk decrease in Latvia. In order to assess the effects of the WWS three different surveys were carried out: of households with WWS participants, of experts in Latvian labour market issues, and of municipality representatives. The results were analyzed, together with analysis of statistical data. Un nuovo sacello da Gela: fasi di frequentazioni e ipotesi sulla destinazione del culto

L'articolo presenta un sacello suburbano lungo le pendici meridionali della collina dell'antica Gela, emerso a seguito delle indagini archeologiche condotte dalla Scrivente tra il 2001 e il 2002. Lo studio della stratigrafia archeologica e muraria ha permesso di identificarne le fasi di vita e il rapporto con le strutture sacre finitime. Vengono presentati anche i materiali rinvenuti, tra cui una stipe votiva, che consentono di avanzare delle riflessioni circa la destinazione del culto e il sistema delle pratiche rituali.
