In the light of Philipp Sarasin's work in 'Darwin und Foucault: Genealogie und Geschichte im Zeitalter der Biologie', the article delineates a genealogically articulated naturally produced culture and a cultured nature and discusses the genealogical implications of a carnal, becoming self in a world that could rightly be justified "as an aesthetical phenomenon." Local markets born with the city and are often spontaneously concentrated in the central areas playing a key role in the development of the local economy. The activity that takes place in them is not only material, but also social and cultural. In recent decades a strong decay is observed not only in a part of the historical center of Palermo (Sicily), but also in the related symbols. The aim of this work is to investigate in detail which causes are associated with the decline of one of the most famous historical markets in Italy, the Vucciria, so finely described by Leonardo Sciascia, Renato Guttuso and Andrea Camilleri.

Der vorliegende Beitrag ist ein Versuch auf die wesentlichen Interessenfelder der frühen Schaffensphase von Ricarda Huch einzugehen. Einen methodologischen Zugriff bildet ihre Biografie sowie ihre geistesgeschichtliche Verankerung in der Epoche der deutschen Frühromantik. Im Sinne der Frühromantiker, vor allem Novalis’, strebte Huch eine Synthese an zwischen den geschichtlich überlieferten Tatsachen und der Vorstellungswelt des dichten-den Künstlers, der mit seiner Dichtkunst ein pädagogisches Ziel verfolgt, dessen oberstes Prinzip das humane Verhalten des Menschen in der Gesellschaft sein soll.
