Englannin opetus on käynyt läpi monia muutoksia ajan kuluessa. Globalisoituvan yhteiskunnan myötä englannin käyttö on yleistynyt ja kieltä opitaan myös muualla kuin koulumaailmassa. Tämä asettaa haasteita englannin opetukselle ja opettajien onkin mietittävä, miten opetusta voisi kehittää nykyajan vaatimuksia ja tarpeita vastaavaksi. Differences Between Coronavirus-Related Anxiety and Stress Management Strategies in Different Study Programs for Students

Šī bakalaura darba pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt atšķirības koronovīrusa izraisītās trauksmes rādītājos un stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģijas, psiholoģijas, audiovizuālās mākslas un “deju kolektīva vadītājs” specialitāšu studentiem COVID-19 pandēmijas laikā. Pētījumā piedalījās 89 respondenti no tiem 58 sieviete un 31 vīrieši (65% sievietes, 35% vīrieši), vecumā no 19 līdz 41 gadiem. Izlases visbiežāk sastopamais vecums ir 23 gadi (26%). Pētījumā piedalījās psiholoģijas (23 studenti jeb 26%), audiovizuālās mākslas (28 studenti jeb 31%) un “deju kolektīva vadītājs” (38 studenti jeb 43%) specialitāšu studenti. This study examines graduating physiotherapy students’ narratives related to their professional development. The data comprised interviews with 33 graduating physiotherapy students. The data were analyzed using the narrative analysis approach. As a result, five different story models were identified. The descriptive story models were named: 1) “Study path dominated by life changes”; 2) “Realizing the connection between physiotherapy theory and practice”; 3) “Self-regulated and practical-oriented learning path”; 4) “Becoming a critical developer”; and 5) “Multiprofessional working towards expertise”. Physiotherapy students construct their professional development gradually in a socio-cultural process between school and working life in the health care sector. The Health Care Professionals Act 559/1994 and National Qualification Framework (NQF) define the legislative basis and education for physiotherapists in Finland. Purpose To study the prevalence and risk factors of myopia with data from a questionnaire study conducted in 1983 among Finnish school children. Methods School children (n = 4 961) from the 1st, 5th and 8th grades of school (7-, 11- and 15-year-olds) in Central Finland were screened for vision followed by a questionnaire, which was returned by 4 352 (87.7%) participants. Myopia was categorized based on the questionnaire. Items concerned daily time spent on near work and outdoor activities, excluding time spent at school, watching TV and parental myopia and the associations of myopia with these factors were studied.
