The purpose of this article is to show how, in the United States, some states and school districts are transforming their curriculum through ethnic studies. Ethnic studies exists as a result of unequal power relations in which historically marginalized groups have not had the power to define how education will serve their own communities. Se parte de Disney y Studio Ghibli como referentes del cine de animación en occidente y oriente respectivamente y se presenta el tratamiento que ambas toman sobre el concepto de migración. Siendo conscientes de la influencia de la cultura visual en quienes la consumen se pretende conocer el posicionamiento que un grupo de estudiantes del Grado en Maestro en Educación Primaria de la Universitat de València tiene sobre el concepto de migración en la cultura visual (Disney y Studio Ghibli) y las potencialidades que en esta perciben como recurso didáctico en las aulas. The incorporation of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) will pay off soon with the release of the first labor market new-plan graduates. In this study an initial assessment of the results is done by analyzing whether the curriculum (new-plan degree or old-plan degree) and the use of new teaching methodologies have led to significant differences in academic performance or if, on the contrary, they did not. These results suggest that this performance is higher for old-plan graduates, and also for those who have benefited from a new pedagogical tool (students from both the old and new plan). The Development of a Spanish Language Version of the Worn Out Scale of the General Well-Being Questionnaire (GWBQ)

The paper describes the development of a short Spanish-language version of the General Well-Being Questionnaire (GWBQ; Cox & Gotts, 1987), based on the 12 items of its Worn Out scale. Research has shown the English-version Worn Out scale to be sensitive to aspects of the design and management of work. This study aimed to test its crosscultural consistency in a Spanish-language workplace context. The data were collected from a sample of 229 workers in Valencia (Spain). Confirmatory Factor Analyses showed the factorial validity, reliability, and concurrent validity of the new Spanish version to be adequate. N-Daļiņu Simulācija

Elvja Egles kvalifikācijas darbā „N-Daļiņu Simulācija” tika izstrādāta simulācijas programma, kura attēlo lādētu daļiņu kustības savā starpā. Tika izmantota OpenGL bibliotēka, lai varētu izveidot daļiņu attēlojumu 3-D simulācijā. OpenGL piedāvāja vairākus veidus, kā daļiņas tiek uzzīmētas un kā tās tiek apgaismotas. Fizikas moduļi, sadursmes un animācija tika implementēta kopā ar OpenGL bibliotēku, lai lādēto daļiņu simulācija būtu pietiekami saprotama fizikas skolniekiem, kuri mācās par Kulona likumu. Visa programma tika izstrādāta caur Microsoft Visual Studio uz Windows vides.
