2015

Trust-enhanced data integrity model

2012

In this paper we propose an enhancement of data integrity model. The proposed model is based on the idea of Biba integrity model but uses more elaborated integrity measurements. Since integrity can be seen as “trustworthiness of data and resources”, we propose to utilize trustworthiness opinions from subjective logic and express levels of integrity as levels of trustworthiness.

2019

The Patres ecclesiae?s works were a frequent topic of discussion at the time in which many humanists stood against the decadent medieval scholastics. That Juan Luis Vives was part of this tradition is demonstrated in his commentaries on Saint Augustine works. Despite its pedagogical function, the scholia of the Valencian author became quite subjective. In this sense, his ecdotic work or, specially, his «criticisms and censures» can be mentioned. Here, Vives strongly disapproves of the intense political and intellectual turmoil of his epoch. Thus, this article is aimed at describing those annotations in which Vives adopts such an Erasmist point of view to comment Augustine?s De Civitate Dei.…

UNESCO::CIENCIAS DE LAS ARTES Y LAS LETRASthe reiteration of his arguments will be remarked throughout the Commentarii. Subjective Assessment of Concert Halls: a Common Vocabulary for Music Lovers and Acousticians

2012

In recent years we have interviewed members of the audience after musical performances and asked them to evaluate the acoustics of the concert halls. A group of music lovers (with a high level of musical training and experience) and acousticians (with a wide knowledge of the physical characteristics of sound transmission) also attended each performance and answered the same questions as the general public. This group thereby served as a control group when evaluating surveys of the general public. In this paper, the results obtained when analyzing these control group surveys are presented. This analysis shows that a common vocabulary exists between music lovers and acousticians when rating a…
