BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE The aim of the study was to identify the neuroanatomical correlates and associations of neuropsychological syndromes after acute unilateral right-hemisphere brain lesions. The neuropsychological syndromes considered were orientation in three-dimensional space such as tilts of the subjective visual vertical or of the subjective haptic vertical, pusher syndrome, visual neglect and unawareness of paresis (anosognosia for hemiparesis). These neuropsychological phenomena have been found to occur separately or in different combinations after lesions to the right insular cortex. Research on relations of personal values to subjective well-being has begun to flourish only recently. This is surprising because our values represent what we consider important and worth pursuing in life, and our subjective well-being (henceforth SWB) represents how happy and satisfied we are with the life we are leading. This chapter summarizes what we know about value—SWB relations and identifies some of what we do not know but would like to know. We first discuss the nature of values and the structured system they form. Digitālās refrakcijas pielietojums labākā koriģētā redzes asuma novērtēšanai

Darbs ir uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 36 lappusēm, satur 20 attēlus, 4 tabulas un 35 literatūras avotus. Darba mērķis ir pārbaudīt redzes asumu ar trim refrakcijas metodēm: autorefraktometriju, subjektīvo refraktometriju un digitālo refraktometriju ar ierīci ESSILOR Vision R-800. Tika salīdzināta refrakcija 15 subjektiem vecumā no 12 līdz 40 gadiem. Refrakcijas dati tika pārveidoti optiskā stipruma vektora formā. Rezultāti: Statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības tika konstatētas redzes asumam, bet ne optiskā stipruma vektoriem, kas bija ļoti līdzīgi viens otram. Secinājums: digitālā refrakcija ar precizitāti 0,01 D pie nepārtrauktas optiskā stipruma maiņas parādīja labāku redzes asumu pat pie zema …

Resumen El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar la relación entre los distintos factores relativos al ambiente familiar, el conocimiento y el goce de derechos familiares, y el apoyo social con adolescentes altos en bienestar subjetivo. Previo consentimiento informado, participaron 259 estudiantes de escuelas secundarias con niveles de excelencia en el rendimiento académico en una ciudad del noroeste de México. Como resultados el valor de lambda de Wilks = 0,659 y su valor transformado (x2 (10) = 104,14; p = 0,000) resultan significativos.
