NEW EU MEMBER COUNTRIES ARE PHASING OUT LABOR-INTENSIVE ACTIVITIES: AN ECONOMETRIC APPROACH
2012
This paper deals with the process of industrial development that has been unfolding in Central and East-European Countries during the last two decades, with special focus on changes in international specialization induced by successive shifts in comparative advantage. As it was to be expected, these advances have gradually improved the respective countries’ exports structure, the most important mutation residing in the gradual abandoning of subcontracting agreements – mostly confined to assembly-of-imported-inputs – and the expansion of the production of knowledge and human capital-intensive goods and services. European integration has most certainly been acting as a catalyst for this proce…

"Table 3" of "Cross-sections and leptonic forward-backward asymmetries from the Z0 running of LEP."
2000
Hadronic cross section measured with the 1995 data. Additional systematic error of 0.10 PCT (efficiencies and backgrounds) and 0.11 PCT (absolute luminosity).
"Table 1" of "Cross-sections and leptonic forward-backward asymmetries from the Z0 running of LEP."
2000
Hadronic cross section measured with the 1993 data. Additional systematic error of 0.10 PCT (efficiencies and backgrounds) and 0.29 PCT (absolute luminosity).
Współczesna wojna - model klasyfikacyjny surowców krytycznych
2016
The paper adresses the problem of the list of critical raw materials for the European Union. The theoretical model of classification of the critical raw materials was presented. The presented model is based on two variables: index of the compatibility (substitutability index) and recycling index.
Crystal structure and Hirshfeld surface analysis of (E)-1-[2,2-dichloro-1-(4-nitrophenyl)ethenyl]-2-(4-fluorophenyl)diazene
2019
The dihedral angle between the 4-fluorophenyl ring and the nitro-substituted benzene ring of the title compound is 63.29 (8)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked by C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds into chains parallel to the c axis. The crystal packing is further stabilized by C—Cl⋯π, C—F⋯π and N—O⋯π interactions
1,1′-[(2,3,5,6-Tetramethyl-1,4-phenylene)bis(methylene)]dipiperidine
2018
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C22H36N2, comprises one half-molecule, the other half being generated by a center of inversion. The piperidine ring adopts a chair conformation, with the exocyclic N—C bond in an equatorial orientation. A short intramolecular C—H...N hydrogen bond occurs and forms an S(6) motif. No directional interactions beyond van der Waals contacts are observed between the molecules, which form a wave-like supramolecular architecture.
Crystal structure of 2-methyl-1H-imidazol-3-ium hydrogen oxalate dihydrate
2016
In the title molecular salt 2-methyl-1H-imidazol-3-ium hydrogen oxalate dihydrate, N—H⋯(O,O) and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the components into a bilayer-like assembly.
Oxytocin Signaling as a Target to Block Social Defeat-Induced Increases in Drug Abuse Reward
2021
There is huge scientific interest in the neuropeptide oxytocin (OXT) due to its putative capacity to modulate a wide spectrum of physiological and cognitive processes including motivation, learning, emotion, and the stress response. The present review seeks to increase the understanding of the role of OXT in an individual’s vulnerability or resilience with regard to developing a substance use disorder. It places specific attention on the role of social stress as a risk factor of addiction, and explores the hypothesis that OXT constitutes a homeostatic response to stress that buffers against its negative impact. For this purpose, the review summarizes preclinical and clinical literature rega…
