Tässä tutkielmassa tutkittiin tyttöjen ja poikien asenteita kemiaa ja kokeellisuutta kohtaan sekä tunteita liittyen kokeelliseen työskentelyyn sosiaalisen sukupuolen näkökulmasta. Tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvittää, millaisia eroja löytyy tyttöjen ja poikien asenteissa kemiaa ja kokeellisuutta kohtaan ja millaisia tunteita liittyy kokeellisuuden tekemiseen ja mikä on ryhmän vaikutus tyttöjen ja poikien laboratoriotöiden tekemiseen. The study has three goals: (1) to explain how Castro-communism has formed, altered and impacted on Cuban literature; (2) to investigate how Gutiérrez's fiction corresponds to the Castro-communist utopia and ideals; and (3) how his parodic (anti)detective story Nuestro GG en La Habana (2004) is based on and relates to Cuban socialist detective stories, Graham Greene's spy farce Our Man in Havana, Castro-communist historiography and the social, ideological and economic shifts in Cuban society during the 1990s. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää, millaisia koulusiirtymiin liittyviä huolia esiopetusikäisillä ja kuudesluokkalaisilla lapsilla on siirtymissä esiopetuksesta alakouluun ja alakoulusta yläkouluun. Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin myös, millaisia huolia (ts. oppilaiden mainitsemia mietityttäviä tai pelottavia asioita) erityisesti ulospäinsuuntautuvia ongelmia (mm. käyttäytymisen ja tarkkaavuuden ongelmat) omaavilla lapsilla on koulusiirtymiin liittyen. Physics education research: A research subfield of physics with gender parity

Women currently outnumber men in obtaining undergraduate degrees but are underrepresented within STEM fields. However, women’s representation varies by STEM field, and even further by STEM subfield. One field that has held a persistent low representation of women is physics. This paper seeks to uncover the truth behind an anecdotal claim that the subfield of physics education research (PER) has a higher representation of women than physics as a whole. Graduate students in PER completed an online survey to assess their demographics, trajectory in PER, climate experiences, and goals for their research. Tässä tutkielmassa tarkoitukseni on tarkastella ranskalaisen feministifilosofi Luce Irigarayn (s.1930) filosofisen kirjoittamisen, lukemisen ja tulkinnan tapoja Sukupuolieron etiikka -teoksessa. Keskityn erityisesti tarkastelemaan Irigarayn erityistä tapaa käydä dialogia filosofian historian klassikkotekstien kanssa. A Survey of University Students’ Knowledge of Vocabulary Learning Strategies and Influential Factors in Middle East

In this study, the most and the least common vocabulary learning strategies was explored among Eastern Mediterranean University international students. Besides, the role of personal factors such as gender and English proficiency level of students were considered. After distributing the questionnaire, the data were analyzed applying t-test and ANOVA. It was revealed that the level of importance of vocabulary learning strategy use was moderate for the EMU international students. Immigrant status, gender, and school burnout in Finnish lower secondary school students : A longitudinal study

The aim of this longitudinal study among 9223 students from grade 7 and grade 9 (age 13–14 and 15–16) was to assess whether immigrant status and gender are associated with the level and change (slope) in school burnout among lower secondary school students in the Helsinki metropolitan area. Ninety-seven percent of the variation in school burnout was attributable to individual factors. Both the intercept (2.3, p < 0.001) and slope (0.5, p < 0.001) of school burnout were statistically significant. The slope showed increasing school burnout from grades 7–9.
