Extraversion and performance approach goal orientation : An integrative approach to personality

Abstract Research shows that extraversion is unrelated to performance approach goal orientation, both at the trait- and the state-level. However, since previous studies have either focused on the trait- or the state-level, such a conclusion may be premature. Building upon the idea that acting against one’s trait consumes self-control resources, we reason that within-person deviations from one’s level of trait extraversion might negatively relate to performance approach goal orientation. Domain-specific transfer learning in the automated scoring of tumor-stroma ratio from histopathological images of colorectal cancer

Tumor-stroma ratio (TSR) is a prognostic factor for many types of solid tumors. In this study, we propose a method for automated estimation of TSR from histopathological images of colorectal cancer. The method is based on convolutional neural networks which were trained to classify colorectal cancer tissue in hematoxylin-eosin stained samples into three classes: stroma, tumor and other. The models were trained using a data set that consists of 1343 whole slide images. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on kuvata ja ymmärtää Suomen vanhimman ympäristöjärjestön, Suomen luonnonsuojeluliiton Facebook-viestintää sen aktiivisuuden, viestintäfunktioiden ja niiden aiheuttamien reaktioiden kautta. Tutkimuksessa käytettiin kahta aineistoa, Luonnonsuojeluliiton Facebook-tilapäivityksiä kommentteineen ja tykkäyksineen kuukauden ajalta vuosilta 2010 ja 2015. We introduce CitySearcher, a vertical search engine that searches for cities when queried for an interest. Generally in search engines, utilization of semantics between words is favorable for performance improvement. Even though ambiguous query words have multiple semantic meanings, search engines can return diversified results to satisfy different users' information needs.
